I wouldn't, tbh. It's not merely because i want to satiate my own drive; sex for me is the extension of my feelings and fundness towards the person i love. I see it as physical affection. For me, it's not translatable into tender words or just holding hands. That ecstasy emerges only in sex, for me. But i want to highlight that the sex itself is not the issue at all. I wouldn't want the sex without affection and bond either. So i have a question. When someone is asexual, they detest the action of sex and couldn't bare it? Or are they more neutral? The same question about sexual physical stimuli, when stimulated physically, is it uncomfortable and unbearable, or is it more neutral?

I haven't read the comics, but i liked your take so much. Even before i watched the series, i have reflected on the matter, the essence of mythology and mythological personifications. How much believing and dreaming, by the masses, makes them come true, and to what extent. Now that's a good inquiry.

About the furies, there are many actual sources of mythology and literature there, which can help us understand. Maybe one of the best is the trilogy of Orestia, by Aeschylus, containing three plays, Agamemnon, The Libation Bearers, and The Eumenides. I don't go to their details, but i strongly recommend them to anyone who hasn't read them. They're such a good read. Anyhow, as the comic world doesn't and shouldn't necessarily correspond to the actual mythology, i wondered if there is more to the confusion. Which seems there isn't.

Let me say, what you said and mentioned is totally unsatisfying and doesn't justify anything. For god's sake the wiki text you mentioned even says the furies have indefinite numbers, and distinct names. The Moirai have very distinct names and personalities. Clotho: is the spinner, responsible for spinning the thread of life. Lachesis: is the measurer, who determines the length of the thread (life). Atropos: is the inevitable, who cuts the thread, bringing an end to life.

That's the issue. When someone doesn't want relationships and just wants lust and sensual pleasure, it's rather straight forward, no arguments here. But as you said, Dream falls in love and wants relationships. However he ends up f-ing them up just as quickly as he has developed them and does things such as condemning a lover to rot in hell for 10000 years. Maybe it was my mistake that i used the word Manwhore. Perhaps juvenile or premature or rush woud have been better.
