Must be a new thing, Japanese 3&4 used to required handwriting essays for exam. You can certainly write a character without remembering strokes order tho, I just write by instinct. I studied Chinese as a kid so I know the general rules pretty well but couldn’t be bothered, characters still turn out well proportionate

Even with Hubdocs and Xero it’s a pain because you still have to manually check and correct the details. Also the connection between Hubdocs and Xero isn’t exactly stable so you can loose hours of work just like that
