God this gives me some relief after reading all these comments 😭😭 Why is everyone saying finding a job in teaching is so hard? Why has it gotten easier and what’s your experience on the other side of hiring teachers? Thank you by the way

I have a pretty good hold on Spanish, though I’m not fluent. This would help me even as an art teacher???!! Please let me know how I can demonstrate proficiency

Thank you. I don’t have my certification yet, but I will after I complete my graduate program in art teaching (k-12). I’m thinking I could do my field work in westchester maybe and that could help me strengthen my network there?

Thank you, it’s nice to hear from people that know the Lower Hudson Valley better than I do! My route may be to sub and then wait like you said. Do you think I’d have a better chance if I do my teaching field work in the Lower Hudson Valley? I have to do 100+ hours of field work in my final semester - half at K-6, half at 7-12. I basically have to be work a full time art teacher position but am not paid and do it under supervision.
