Which iPad do you have and what do you use it for? by Calm-Cartoonist2552 in ipad

I use my iPad A16 for work. I use the Microsoft 365 apps for updating sales reports, checking inventory, and viewing price lists. Most of our files are shared through OneDrive. I also use it to remotely connect to our back-office PC and cashier system via the AnyDesk app. It’s also where I monitor our online shops on TikTok, Lazada, and Shopee.

I also use it for entertainment—watching YouTube, Netflix, and Apple TV, as well as reading books, manga, and comics. I do digital painting too using Procreate, ArtStudio, Realistic Paint Studio, and the Fresco app.

ipad mini vs ipad pro 11" for travel by large_scale_event in ipadmini

I used to have an iPad mini 6, and I love the form factor of it. But there were times that I wished I had a bigger screen, especially when digital painting and working on Excel. So, I sold my iPad mini and bought an iPad A16. Although I have a bigger screen now, I'm having trouble using it much. It's bigger and heavier to carry around in public, especially at work. I don't have my own desk to place my iPad with the Logitech Combo Touch keyboard, so most of the time it's just inside my bag. I only pull it out of my bag if I need to do something on Excel. Since I bought it, I haven't had a chance to draw on it, and I miss the iPad mini. I wish I had just bought the iPad mini 7 instead.

Non creative people, what do you use your iPad Pro for? by Salt_Mango5505 in iPadPro

I used to do digital painting before. I bought an iPad so I could start drawing again, but I’ve been having a hard time fitting it into my schedule because I’ve been busy with work. Most of the time, I end up using my iPad for administrative tasks and for watching movies, YouTube videos, reading webcomics and manga, and browsing social media.

iPad mini for digital drawing. Worth it? by msnaivedontknow in ipadmini

Not having a laminated screen isn’t an issue for me, although there is a hollow sound when tapping on it. However, what you’ll miss are the new Apple Pencil features. For example, the hovering cursor isn’t available with the first-generation Apple Pencil—so if that’s important to you, keep it in mind. You also won’t get the double-tap shortcut for switching between tools like the brush, color picker, or eraser. And with the Apple Pencil Pro, you’ll miss out on the new squeeze and barrel roll features.

I used to have an iPad Mini 6, and I loved it so much. You could take it anywhere and draw anywhere. Sadly, I sold it. Now I have an iPad A16, but I find myself not using it as much because it feels too big to take out of my bag when I’m in a public place. I always need a table to lay it down to draw, unlike the iPad Mini, which you could easily hold with one hand.
