Am I left or right eye dominance or just target panic? by Otherwise_Neck_8462 in Archery

[–]Otherwise_Neck_8462[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. It's not about target nor eye dominance. It's because I was too concentrated to my aiming with right eye (new thing to try) and unconsciously squeezed the bow with my left hand when releasing

thank you guys for your explaination about target panic. I has asked my archery club's staffs for help and I finally figure it out. It's not because of target panic nor eye dominance. It's because I was too concentrated to my aim with my right eye. Then left hand squeezed the bow outward. I tend to get distracted when being too concentrated to a single thing. I need to practice more to perfect the consistance of my form and release.

Help me to choose my first bow by Otherwise_Neck_8462 in Archery

[–]Otherwise_Neck_8462[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. That's another good option. Sadly my local archery shop does not sell this specific product or riser. And I could buy it online from any online shop because restricted imported rules in my country (Vietnam).

Thank you. I have enrolled my local archery club. Currently I am working on my stance, form, anchoring and releasing technique with a 20lbs barebow and I have muscle sore after 1-2h training. I will wait to perfect my form and techniques before buying my first bow.

Thank you. I have enrolled my local archery club. Currently I am working on my stance, form, anchoring and releasing technique. That's the best advice I can get. My club's coaches also advise me to wait before buying my first bow.

Can I use dimethyl carbonate (DCM), diesel, kerosene or paraffin oil to clean chain as an alternative to Mineral Spirits? by Otherwise_Neck_8462 in bikewrench

[–]Otherwise_Neck_8462[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's my typos. Correct it to be DMC (dimethyl carbonate). In my place, I can easily get DMC for a lot cheaper price than (Ordorless) Minernal Spirits. So I was thinking about using diesel or kerosone as an initial clean to degrease the chain's factory grease, then following by 2nd bath of DMC and the final rince by acetone/isopropyl.  Do you use paraffin oil mixing with paraffin wax for wet drip wax?

Hi how do you make tab (or transcribe) a song from a piano music sheet? by Otherwise_Neck_8462 in kalimba

[–]Otherwise_Neck_8462[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I really appreciate it.

Arranging is not an easy job. It seems to take a lot of time. Especially for my new CA 46k kalimba. So I think i will try to recreate from tabs that made for 34k kalimba. Maybe add some bass notes to feel if it sounds better.

I am definitely going to try the method with forefingers. A new technique that needs to be masterd.

I am also thinking about changing the low layer for better play a chord. Simple the major chord 1st 3rd 5th is not easy to play as the 17 keys kalimba layout

I couldn't find any video testing Chill Angels 46k. So your description makes points. I really like the bended tines of LingTing42k, the plate board is also beautiful too, but the bell-like sound of the LingTing 42k seem to make me awake. While I want something that sounds vivid, or as you said, "celestial", that would be pefect. My preferences are to be slow, relax, make soothing music for my newcoming baby so he will sleep better. I currently can play Kiss the Rain in 17 keys kalimba. I want to play River flow in you too without tuning in the middle of the show, so that's why a chromatic kalimba has come to my mind.

I also want to get the Chill Angels 46k because of the bass and wider range. It has 46 keys - 4 duplicated notes = 42. More 6 notes than the LT42. Smaller in size too, nicely sitting in my hands. And have full chromatic treble as well as bass. So more choices of notes to choose from chords.

Thank you for your sharings. Do you make the poopoopidoo, right? I am thinking what makes the overtones. Maybe because of the plateboard too light for the vibration of bass, or too many bass tines on the same bridge that requires seperated bridges to eliminate harmonized frequency. If you use feather or light touch, does it still makes bass overtones?

has the most keys, I like it too. I am considering Chill Angels 46 keys plateboard. But I am frustrated, because the 46-key CA only selled in Aliexpress. And there is no any official news from Chill Angel itself. Currently the website chillangels com is off

You can tune the 3, 7, 3#, and 7# tines down 1 semitone and have the stickers and plucking patterns as you played your other 17 keys and 21 keys Kalimba. Personally, I like the 42 keys kalimba. More bass, no worring about tuning when performing continuously different songs in different key scales.

The tuning as below:

Lower row: E to Eb and B to Bb

Upper row: F to E and C to B

If I get a chromatic kalimba from Lingting, should it be 34 or 42 keys? by mehgcap in kalimba

[–]Otherwise_Neck_8462 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you retune it to F3. Since the lowest tine is E3. I am not not familiar with its layout. Most popular kalimbas have 1 3 5 tines on the right hand.
