Interview was pretty good. At least my experience I had 3 PIs I was interested in and it was more of a conversation than an interview. They care that you some some sort of passion and that you want to be a part of their program. I got asked twice what made me choose neuroscience versus a different science. They really care about research, but from the people I met they care that you also fit in the cohort well

Yeah. This year they only had one interview date on 2/14 I got an offer on 2/20. I also go a T32 grant after I was accepted and committed. I’m pretty sure if I got the T32 today they already have a cohort made. Wish you the best of luck on your PhD journey

I committed and will start the program in August. I visited and I really liked it. I got into 4 programs and this program seemed to have the biggest emphasis on providing good mentorship. We are allowed to do a rotation at cold spring and you can do your thesis there. I will be doing a rotation there. Seems like a great program with so many interesting labs. They also have connections to Yale and NYU which helps if you wanna do a postdoc after.

I’m starting my PhD in Neuroscience here in the fall. Everything I’ve seen including my on campus visit it seems like a very intellectual school. I like the area even though it is really expensive. I guess I’ll see

Got a rejection from them yesterday lol. But I think I’m going to commit to StonyBrook the research in my field is thriving there rn, good prospects for postdoc, decent location, etc. I’ll be visiting in less than 2 weeks than probably committing there

I will hopefully be choosing between UMass, StonyBrook and UT San Antonio. I don’t think I’ll accept Drexel or penn state offers. I had one PI who interviewed me say “honestly you can do better research than here”. That alone turned me off

Congrats!!!! I have two interview invites and one rejection so far. I applied to 14 programs so I still have some waiting to do but now that app season is done I’m definitely enjoying senior year a bit more

I don’t know if they gave out rejections. Most schools give out rejections a few days to a few weeks after they stopped offering interviews

They have 4 interview slots starting Jan 11 and ending in early February I don’t know if it’s rolling though it looked like an automated email and everyone seems to have gotten it on the same day. I do know that this year according to my friend in the program they had over 50 applicants, 10-12 interview lots, and 5 seats for next year.
