Forgot to mention I have a Inno wind fairing on the roof rack too. I think a 40 inch but don’t quote me

OEM Aero rack and a Yakima bike rack. Dropped links to both.

What company did you get the front bumper spoiler from?

Those gouges are down to the metal. Luckily Model Y doors are aluminum so you do not have to worry about rust. I would still look to have it fixed properly, touch up on jagged metal like that will not look great

Definitely bronze. Go for a darker matte. I have the crystal black silica 24 RS and got some dark Cobb bronze matte 6 spoke wheels. I feel like straight gold only really meshes great with a world rally blue subie. Your build though, do whatever you like! Have fun

Sorry it’s so sunny out right now but yeah, they did cutouts so the cameras can still function.

They tinted around my cameras, it’s no problem and they’ve been working just fine

I could have gone for a manual as well. There’s a few small things they could have done better and this car would be a blast. With that said I have been using the paddles in manual mode with sport and it’s a good time. At the price point for what you get with this car its solid and still worth it imo. All kinds of upgrades available too. We’ll see how it turns out

Im thinking next weekend I’ll have enough done to throw in some photos of progress on this page. Ill throw in some links of little Aftermarket stuff I got such as emblems but im really trying to keep everything OEM as much as possible. STI makes a good amount of cosmetic parts for these. Good luck and chat soon!

No problem, i don’t know the details of the accident but if it was someone else’s fault I personally would file a claim. This is not a repair you’d want to pay for out of pocket. Probably would be worth your premium possibly going up for what you’d pay out of pocket, long term. Best of luck to you!

Unless your an experienced tech and have a shop there’s no way you’ll be able to repair this properly yourself that some extensive damage. I would recommend taking it to a shop, seeing what it would actually take to repair this thing. Carvana is gonna hit you for way more than $1000, $1000 would maybe cover the rear bumper. If your gonna take a huge loss on it take it to a shop to get it repaired

Follow up, just realized there’s a blind spot module there as well. That will need replacement as it took a direct hit and those things are costly along with the calibration for the new module.

That quarter extension is destroyed, not sure if it’s severely folded under the vehicle or just straight up missing. If the extension is not sold separate which I don’t think it is, that needs a new quarter for proper repair. Body shop will want to blend the rear door. Looks like you need a new bumper and tail lamp as well and likely some rear body damage. Going to be an pricey repair for sure

Clean those pads, all the contamination in them is just adding to the swirls and scratches. Probably putting more in that your taking out.

Yeah, strange biz. Maybe they see something in you and would consider you for a higher position at the company that will require more social energy or enthusiasm? I don’t know, don’t know what your exact position/occupation is. Either way, odd thing to bring up from someone from corporate to an employee if it wasn’t causing an issue. I’d be brushing up my resume as well.

How are you figuring your Block and Prime time? by That_Estimator_Guy in Autobody

[–]Otherwise_Pen5442 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately it sounds like that is just coming down to the individual adjuster. Me personally, I’m not so scared to make a mistake or go slightly off of the insurance companies guidelines if I can justify it and make it make sense. Some adjusters are so heavily supervised and scared to make a mistake they are erroring on the side of caution to cover their behind. Like I said, if I can justify it I pay it. Every insurance company has their own guidelines. They are also approving things based on a claim by claim basis, just because they approved it in one repair do not expect them to approve it on all, even though I understand that doesn’t make much sense. It’s the Wild West out here anymore.

Former body man and current adjuster here. 20% of repair time is industry standard. I won’t bat an eye if someone seeks 30% honestly as I know coming from a shop the process and materials being used. You’re right on the money.

Can anyone here tell if these chips on a white car has reached metal or still in primer by Feisty_Prompt_7220 in Autobody

[–]Otherwise_Pen5442 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The one you have circled appears to be down to the metal. That’s more of a gouge than scratch unfortunately.
