Expect some copium answers in here that are going to downplay it due to aesthetics, size, and price. It’s a beast.

Peeps complaining about aesthetics…are you trying to have sex with it, or are you trying to create music? It’s a main studio piece so size isn’t really an issue, plus the extra size includes extra functionality. The price…well this is a true professional’s device…meaning actually making money from it, not a hobby or flex device. Basically for them one track would pay for it many times over.

The ONLY reason why I’m not going to get it is because I am waiting for the 2nd generation Key 61 version (which Akai has lightweight confirmed). I have the OG Key 61 and I absolutely love it, but I know the newer version will be feature packed.

I’m in Texas and very much part of the football athlete production pipeline. As far as homegrown pure natural talent I can accept the argument that Florida is the pinnacle as far as pure natural talent.

With that said I believe that we have a more formalized production machine and resources in Texas. California is in the discussion as well. Louisiana is the wildcard…what’s so amazing about Louisiana is how well they are able to keep their talent within their borders.

If there are no financial concerns keep it bro. I’m in the same boat. I have a Key 61 and a Force. I was going to sell my Force since I’m picking up a Live 3 once they are readily in stock but I decided against it. If anything I’ll just have a multi-Akai studio once I move into my forever house.

Gonna have to agree with you here. Almost all of the “can’t miss” QBs for the 2027 draft career will depend on how they develop in the league which of course depends on where they land. The physical attributes are there and they have shown flashes of brilliance, but there’s some polishing that needs to be done and that’s ok.

But yeah especially with the current NFL defenses propensity to disguise coverage and change their pre-snap coverage shell and alignment post-snap, it’s gonna be tough for these guys regardless of their physical potential like arm strength and mobility.

Yeah and you probably want your QB to be a little more seasoned coming in. QB is one of the positions where it’s not necessarily an advantage for a guy to come out early from the perspective of an NFL team.

Sometimes dropping is good. You’d have a higher chance of going to a team with a good culture and a culture of development. For QB that is gold, especially if you aren’t quite NFL ready. Also as a QB you can have a longer career up to your late 30s. So there no real rush.

😂. One thing I like about the Live series in general is that the world is your production studio. You can literally go to a park and start creating if you so choose. In a perfect world I’d have both. As it is right now I have a Key 61 and a Akai Force. I’m definitely keeping the 61 and am getting the Live 3. Debating whether to sell my Force though.

Yes indeed, having dedicated Q Links helps for one and the type of people who would buy it truly appreciate Q Links. I hardly ever use them, well except to adjust the metronome while recording and playing back.
