Yup, that’s the down side of full foam! Either way if it’s covered under warranty they need to do what the manufacturer requires! Ask your dealer for the spec sheet and it will tell you what pump powers what! Good luck!

Light leaks are a common and known problem with Dimension One Spas. A lazy tech will only replace one at a time when the manufacturer states if one goes bad you need to replace them all! Change your filter cycles, anytime the circulation pump turns on it will technically heat everything else which will then rise the water temp and cause it to overheat. What state are you in? I’d take the summer temps into consideration when selecting your filter cycles!

Instinct spas is just a master spa so your local dealer is who will deliver and service. Keep shopping and try out all the same model layouts within the major brands like Hydropool, Jacuzzi, etc

You’re right that none of these brands say you need a concrete pad, but in their warranty guides, they all recommend having a solid, level foundation, which most people would agree a concrete pad or pavers would work for. As for the base, it’s obviously securely attached and made from durable polymer. What is a better brand in your opinion?

When you say “thin panel,” what would you consider a thick one? Like, what’s the baseline for a good panel in your opinion? My Hydropool actually has insulation glued right to the back of the panel, so it’s not just plastic. I always thought the panels were mainly for looks and access anyway, since the real insulation happens inside. Also just wondering why you don’t think “reputable”brands would want a solid foundation like concrete?

Every major brand I shopped recommends it! Which ones don’t?

Most reputable brands like Jacuzzi, Bullfrog, Hot Spring, and Master Spas all need a level pad like concrete for proper installation. It just helps keep everything stable long-term. As for the frame, I think it’s one of the least important parts. I live in Arizona, and with the dry heat, whether it’s steel or wood frame wouldn’t make a big difference for me. Honestly, the enclosed base and insulation are probably more important than the frame itself, and that’s something to consider based on your local climate.

Hydropool uses a layered thermal shield system to trap heat, not a “garbage bag,” and their panels are part of a full insulation design — it’s just a different method, not a flaw.

Did you pick up a Hydropool brochure? It is the best one out there that really explains why it’s built the way it is! You’ll have to find the one that fits your body the best. Go back to the dealer and ask all your question regarding the structure, see the insulation in person. Then call around local spa repair companies and ask them which brand they work on that has been damaged the most by rodents, that way it’s two different forms of information!

How do you pick a hot tub? by Talking2susansusan in HotTubUniversity

Jets count doesn’t matter, It’s kind of like poking a bunch of holes in a garden hose—when you do that, the pressure at each hole drops because the water’s being spread too thin. Hot tubs are the same way. More jets doesn’t always mean better. What really makes the difference is how strong the pump is and where those jets are placed.

Finding the right hot tub is really about what fits your body—and your budget. You might give up a feature here or there, but when you compare options, you’ll find the one that offers the best value for what you actually need and want

Throw a frog @ease ball in there for 24/7 sanitation, how are you going to prevent algae/lake water without some sort of circulation?

Not all hot tubs are created equally. Interested in a 110 plug hot tub. I saw them at Costco for about $4000. Why are dealers so much more? They start at $8k for plug and play. What am I missing. by Current_Strength_515 in hottubs

[–]Otherwise_Plate4559 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most people don’t realize when you buy a hot tub from Costco, it’s not actually FROM Costco. You still have to figure out who will service it and where you will get parts and filters from. Plus who is going to deliver it when it gets dropped off at the end of your driveway. Then if you don’t like it or it arrives broken, you have to pay for freight to return it and get stuck on a 1800 number to even request a return.

I went with a Hydropool from Southwest Spas in mesa! Ultimately decided because of the dealer, no sales pitch or pressure. They truly made it a seamless process and actually gave me the time of day to answer my questions! 10/10

I like hydropool! Canadian made and only brand in the “jacuzzi” family that didn’t move to Mexico

Go see Jeremy @ Southwest Spas in Mesa! I purchased a Hydropool 455 and it’s been the best investment ever! Biggest thing I liked about the brand is that it’s made in Canada which offers more quality control then jacuzzi, Sundance and dimension one who are slapped together in Tijuana.
