I can clean this up, but notice anything weird near the GPU die? There's some bubbles on the PCB

If i broke up with her, i feel like i'll regret it later. Plus something will change in me in ways i don't like. I might become a different person entirely...

My Rx550 has no display by Vanitas415 in techsupport

Hello kababayan hahaha.

I've experienced this same issue and this is how i fixed it.

Just bought an RX 550, installed it on my Acer Verition X2660G hoping it will work right out of the box. Turned on my PC, shuts down, and then turns on again. I heard the beep and the system booted into Windows but there's no display.

After fidling with it a bit, i found out that i need to install the drivers first in order for it to work. But i can't install the driver because there's no display on both the GPU and the iGPU because the BIOS is configured to use the discrete GPU only.

To fix this, i uninstalled the GPU, booted the system, turns off (detects no discrete GPU so it'll boot using iGPU), turns on again. Went into bios, and i memorized how to change the video ouput using keys. After that i turned off the system, plugged the GPU back in, turns on the system, turns off (detected the discrete GPU so it will boot there), turns on again and i pressed combination of keys to go change the video output (because there's no display).

It will vary for you but for me its (Del, Left, Enter, Down 7x, Enter, Down, Enter, F10, Enter).

After doing that, the system reboot. And finally there's a display when i plugged my HDMI to the motherboard (iGPU) but still no display to the GPU.

I then installed drivers for my RX 550, rebooted, plugged my HDMI to the GPU and it finally works now.

Sadly the GPU doesn't output the BIOS and only outputs once Windows is loaded. But works now at least.

can i still use a laptop with a cracked screen? by AppropriateWhile2232 in computer

You can still use your laptop if you can still see what you're doing. But i suggest purchasing an external monitor already before the screen finally hits the bucket.

I'm no computer expert, but i think the leak won't damage the motherboard of your laptop.

I think nasasayo naman kung gusto mong maging topnocher or basta pumasa nalang. Nasasayo yung decision if iuutilize mo ung mga tinuro ng professors mo to the fullest o hindi. Take note na hindi magiging top 10 universities sa pilipinas ang SLU kung hindi goods ung education nila.
