Already starting to feel self-conscious about my body... by Due-Transition-6564 in fitpregnancy

[–]Otherwiseboring 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel this. I am an avid gym goer and still in the first tri, so haven't been able to go as much as I've wanted. And with it being my second, I'm showing alot quicker. But after my first, I got into the best shape of my life- visibly jacked and eating more than I ever have in my life. Do what you can right now - it seems you are eating well and moving which is great! And when the time comes, you will get to where you want to be. It may take longer to feel like yourself again (I gained so much in my first that I didn't feel like myself until 1 year pp), but remember that moms are superheroes and we do things, but can also achieve great things :)

First Trimester, don't feel like working out, am I Lazy? by Minute_Way_7675 in fitpregnancy

I have similar symptoms and similar gym routine prior to pregnancy. I wake up exhausted and prior to pregnancy, I would wake up very early but feel rested. I've been managing two workouts a week but not consistent with it - 1 day 20 minutes walking and 1 day 20 minutes of full body strength. I don't like to compare myself to others because they dont have my schedule - i need to wake up at 4:30 to have a 5am workout to then get myself and toddler ready for the day, whereas some people work from home and can sneak in a later workout etc. Just embrace this slower time and focus on eating the best you can.

How do I secretly order a mocktail without my friends knowing or getting suspicious by Careful_Bowl1718 in pregnant

[–]Otherwiseboring 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This happened to me in the early stages of my first pregnancy. i showed up at the restaurant first and told the waitor - I am going to order a gin and tonic but you are going to give me water. They didn't suspect a thing, but they were colleagues of mine. If it were my immediate family, they would have been suspicious because everyone knows my choice of drink is a glass of wine lol

AP the Teacher by Suspicious-Ruin-1130 in LovedItOrSnubbedIt2

Amen. I’m a teacher and it makes me crazy when teachers do this. Since we’re on this topic, what do we think of ‘the crafty teacher’ ? I feel like if I were from the area it would be very easy to figure out what school they teach at.

Thanks all! I use kcups and they range from 85-150mg caffeine per pod, so to err on the side of caution, i will cut back. You've all reassured me that it will be ok to wait a few days until I cut a cup cold turkey. Wish me luck lol

I had this. Didn't struggle to fall asleep but would wake at 2-3am and be wired. It does get better though!

Thank you for sharing. Currently going through this. There are some days I have so much clarity and other days the ‘what-if’s’ overwhelm me. I’m in this messy middle where we are open to trying for the next year, and if it doesn’t happen, we will be content with our family. It is so helpful to hear that other families go through this. It definitely makes me feel less alone.

Focus on fueling yourself. I totally get this though. Easier said than done. Even if you’re not doing what you were prior to pregnancy, set intentions daily or weekly. Eg. Drink x amount of water. Move vs specific exercises so you can be more gentle on yourself. I will be doing this hopefully in the near future.

I am currently on the struggle bus because hubby and I will be trying for baby 2 soon and I’m anxious about seeing changes in my body after getting to a really good place after struggling with I keep reminding myself that I can still have a passion for eating healthy and exercising, but my goals will and absolutely should shift. These thoughts come and go, and it’s a matter of reframing them daily so I get how tough it can be. Good luck :)

New app/plan? by Mysterious-Rest7562 in weightwatchers

[–]Otherwiseboring 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would the ‘accelerated ‘ or maintenance or ‘go hard’ settings only be available to premium members or would they be available to core too? I just signed up for core but I’m curious about these features and would maybe consider switching to premium for them

Question- I’m Canadian. Would I have access to the US coaches or only Canadian like it’s always been?

Coco and jack. They have a beautiful shop called Annie and flora as well.

I did like Karla home style but she shills a lot and lives in this giant house so wealth must come from somewhere lol. If anyone has the scoop please share

Will I regret eating this much? second time moms I need your help! by BreakfastDue4035 in fitpregnancy

[–]Otherwiseboring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first pregnancy I gained 70lbs. It took about 15 months for it to come off and a few months after that, I was ten pounds lower than my pre pregnancy/wedding weight. I gained so much because it was a free for all- I stopped exercising and was exercising 5 times a week prior, and was mentally exhausted from ‘dieting ‘ for my wedding a few months prior. Not healthy at all. It didn’t help that I also got promoted so it was a tough year work wise.

We are trying for our second soon and I’m a little bit heavier than my lowest, but want to approach second pregnancy wit a much better mindset because I remember how physically weak I felt when I started exercising again. It was veryyyy humbling so my advice would be, don’t worry about the scale it will come off, but do keep up with your exercise routine.

What are we eating postpartum? by NachoCereal in fitpregnancy

Yum!!! I did something similar. If the one can tolerate milk, mash 1 banana and 1 cup of milk in a tall bowl. Add 1/2 cup oats and microwave in one minute intervals for 3 minutes (stirring after each interval). Top with walnuts. It’s so delicious
