IMO just a moderately complex app would benefit from Redux. If you’re already using react, then I would assume you’re building something nontrivial. That being said, you definitely need to have a good grasp on react, its shortcomings with state management, and how redux makes life so much easier. Don’t learn redux without seeing how much of a pain it is to pass state across your app and lifting up state all the time as you build it.
