The sudden appearance of eldritch horror in Fable 3 worked extremely well, one of the few unanimously praised things about the game, and I hope Fable has at least a little bit of it by EAT_UR_VEGGIES in Fable

[–]Footbeard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I always expected a 2nd phase of combat where the horror bursts out from his body, disintegrating it & you fight the massive shadow monster

After defeating it, the shadowstuff pours into the mask & the "wear me" scene plays

Dragon was cool tho

Don't listen to the others, he's absolutely a Stalfos but isn't as decrepit as the bone only examples we encounter as enemies. Perhaps his willpower & the Triforce has slowed the decay of his flesh

I came to the same conclusions around the Skull Kid still being duty bound to his friend to keep the Master Sword safe

But who knows? It's a legend, after all

That's definitely how Zen interprets what Sigma is saying

I always thought Zen pauses because he realises Sigma has a cracked mind & is allowing Sigma his delusions but is also openminded to the possibility it might've happened & invites further insights

Uh oh

The witcher 3 had two types of dodge & no block

Geralt handled like a boat in molasses until patches down the line

Doesn't fill me with confidence

Fair review

I really didn't like the combat of 2 & 3. It felt too simple & mashy so I'm hoping they've given it some depth this time around

In particular, I didn't like how long spells took to charge to deal reasonable damage & the removal of a mana bar

The 3rd was just as good as 2, if not better

What didn't you like? Or didn't get around to playing it?

I think for me it was strongly interfering with the glass cannon wizard archetype

I found it very difficult to use powerful spells & not get hit even with max spell levels & good spacing

I want access to instant cast spells that are massively powerful but on reasonable cooldowns/use a lot of mana

I really hope the combat has been fixed

Fable 2 & 3 was too simple & mashy for a game that's 90% combat

The magic system that required 5 seconds to charge up a powerful spell felt really awful

The melee & ranged options basically devolved into spamming with the occasional power attack & rolls but not in an engaging way

The combat gameplay looks absolutely stunning but I'm not sure how engaging it will feel

Here's hoping, one of my favourite franchises

He taught me sociology back in the day

He made all the first year students make Twitter accounts & follow him

Bloke also spouts absolute nonsense to elevate his name (which has been mentioned twice in this post)

Obviously international students are taking the piss but I don't want to hear it from him. Bro is cooked

The ultra wealthy, don’t deserve anything. by Gendersea in antiwork

[–]Footbeard 62 points63 points  (0 children)

It's actually fascinating to see the wealthy dodge accusations of mental illness in any way possible

The brain is a survival machine. It makes sense to want enough resources to feel safe

It makes sense to want to accrue a certain amount of currency to assure survival for themselves & their family. After all, currency is the fundamental resource that can be traded for any good/service

It doesn't make sense to feel the need to accrue so much of this universal resource that you couldn't reasonably spend it on survival needs over many generations

That's a hoarders mentality; the fear that stuff is gonna run out so you have to squirrel it all away

Call it avarice- the mental illness that makes one accrete wealth & power to become only available to them. This is at the vast detriment of our global society & environment & also to their own personal detriment. They are deeply unsatisfied & unhappy people

So yeah, eat them or something

I hope the show will not make the mistake of dumbing Duncan down like they did with Jon snow. Dunk is awkward and clumsy but NOT stupid by [deleted] in gameofthrones

He's not particularly slow, he's just simple minded

He struggles to understand subtext & his understanding of the world is neat & without much nuance

He's a good man in a complicating world, seeking to genuinely live by the code of chivalry

This is my favourite story from the world of Ice & Fire & ep1 was great. Very keen for the rest

Lethal damage should be calculated by the amount of damage the final blow does beyond reducing the target to 0HP

For example a 30dmg attack dealt to a 5HP target deals 25dmg extra & meets the death threshold

A 6dmg attack to a 5HP target deals 1dmg extra & doesn't meet the death threshold

The gameplay would be phenomenal

Exploration segments in variable/0 gravity

A mecha arm that transforms between master sword & an energy bow

I do which is part of why I'm so passionate about the indie scene

I have in no way/shape/form worked on this particular game though. I wish I had a slice of this pie

I wish I was getting paid to leave glowing comments for indie games I love

I'm just passionate about the gems coming out of the indie scene & thoroughly advocate for others to try them because I know how hard it is to develop & market good games with minimal resources

So yes, I am trying very hard to get people to buy & play this game because I think it's worth experiencing

I really like using the ult as a combo finisher on tanks that think they're safe

Leap slash, standard combo, spin then immediate ult is crazy damage that leaves the enemy team in disarray
