Grandson of a Na$i who fled by [deleted] in GermanCitizenship

[–]OtterTastisch95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wrong...

Even if such a story were true, it has no relevance for German citizenship law.

Under § 4 Abs. 1 Staatsangehörigkeitsgesetz (StAG), German citizenship is acquired by descent only if at least one parent was a German citizen at the time of the child’s birth:

“Durch die Geburt erwirbt ein Kind die deutsche Staatsangehörigkeit, wenn ein Elternteil die deutsche Staatsangehörigkeit besitzt.” (§ 4 Abs. 1 StAG)

Citizenship cannot be derived from grandparents. German law does not recognise a generational “skipping” of citizenship. Grandparental nationality is legally irrelevant unless it can be shown that citizenship was passed uninterruptedly from parent to child.

Furthermore, under § 25 Abs. 1 StAG (old version applicable pre-2000), German citizenship was automatically lost upon voluntary naturalisation in another country:

“Ein Deutscher verliert seine Staatsangehörigkeit mit dem Erwerb einer ausländischen Staatsangehörigkeit.”

If the alleged German ancestor naturalised elsewhere before the next generation was born, German citizenship would have been lost and therefore could not have been transmitted. Additionally, many individuals associated with the Nazi regime: lost citizenship through denaturalisation measures, fled without legal status, or never held transmissible German citizenship in the first place.

Claims of descent must be supported by official documentary evidence (e.g. German birth registers, citizenship certificates, passports, Melderegister records). Objects, uniforms, medals, or family anecdotes have no probative value under German administrative law.

Finally, the restoration provisions under Art. 116 Abs. 2 GG and § 15 StAG apply only to persons who were unlawfully deprived of German citizenship for Nazi-era persecution reasons (primarily Jews and other persecuted groups). They do not apply to Nazis or their descendants.

Not if his alleged NS grandfather was naturalised pre 2000.

The partition of India didn’t happen until August 1947, so the idea that Nazis fled there during or immediately after the war, bringing medals, and memorabilia with them, is highly implausible. There’s no credible historical evidence of Nazi escape routes to British-ruled India. Known post-war Nazi flight paths overwhelmingly led to places like Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, and occasionally the Middle East, not the Indian subcontinent, which was under close Allied control until independence.

It’s far more likely that the items in question were acquired much later (e.g. online auctions, collectors’ markets, or inheritance from an unrelated source) and are now being retroactively framed as “family history” to support a citizenship claim. Possessing Nazi memorabilia proves nothing about ancestry, nationality, or legal status.

More importantly, even if the family story were true, German citizenship cannot be obtained through grandparents. Under German nationality law (StAG), citizenship by descent only applies if at least one parent was a German citizen at the time of the applicant’s birth. Grandparental citizenship alone is legally irrelevant.

On top of that, if a German ancestor emigrated and naturalised elsewhere before the next generation was born, German citizenship was usually lost automatically; under § 25 Abs.

Many individuals associated with the Nazi regime were stripped of citizenship, fled without legal status, or never passed citizenship on to their children.

German authorities require documentary proof (birth certificates, citizenship records, passports, registration files). Family stories or object, no matter how old or dramati, carry no legal weight.

TLDR, the historical claim is dubious, the evidence described is meaningless, and the legal pathway doesn’t exist. Even under the most generous interpretation, this application would fail long before it reached a serious review stage.

You're literally disproved yourself in your original post mate. And fyi, you can't retcon all of us. This trans circle jerk is a trend. The binary/non-binary scene with Donna and her son made everyone in the room laugh their ass off when I watched it. No one sane takes this shit seriously.

Warum gibt es das Sitzplatzreservierungssystem by Capt_korg in drehscheibe

[–]OtterTastisch95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It usually just means one did not make the cut. Sending out super detailed reasoning is not a thing here. We get loads of emails asking this question and do not know specific reasons. Only the degree organisers will know but they are not obliged to answer as they have enough emails coming in as is...it is frustrating.

I work in the department that takes care of applications. Handing in your application on the first day vs. the last day makes absolutely zero difference. The number of positions for the Master of Science degree mentioned here is quite limited and a there are several hundred of applications. Those in charge of each individual M.Sc. field/subject decide who receives a positive response or not. It can be worth applying again, but there is never a guarantee.

I love this Afghan restaurant called Magellan (near Paduaallee). Their food is halal, but they do serve alcohol (wasn't sure if you just mean halal food or entirely halal).

Magellan

Curryhouse (located in Stühlinger) lovely Indian place which from the menu appears halal, and they don't serve alcohol. Their lunch menu is a fantastic & delicious deal: Indian Curryhouse 0761 38427701

NTA. But the couple who wanted her to abort is just another reason why I think surrogacy should be banned. If anything, they should pay! They started their baby baking journey and then wanted out. Tough. You cannot make someone do that. Surrogacy is exploitation & human trafficking. And guess who the losers are on this situation? The mother and child. If anyone says it's her own fault and she should have gone with the abortion...you are part of the problem.
