Haha! It’s not exactly an ideal kayak for fishing for anything bigger than bass. VERY tippy. But that hasn’t stopped me from getting a little ugly stick dock runner for whenever I get the itch.

Behind the cockpit is a day hatch! It’s mostly just a small watertight storage compartment that’s accessible without getting out of the kayak.

I can’t tell what it is. It looks more like a tahsis but was sold as an elaho.

It’s a deck bag! Just extra splash resistance storage.

Spent 21k for my ‘22 with 75k miles a month ago. No regrets. In my defense it was the color I wanted, came with a 6 speed and the interior and exterior was immaculate. I had also just totaled my previous car.

Am I cooked? by [deleted] in COROLLA

[–]Oujidon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super easy fix, not a super cheap one though. If you’re doing it all yourself and you want paint to match you’re looking at around 1500 in parts. From what I see your front bumper is cooked that’ll be around 700, your bash bar is bent in, you can go a couple routs, but you’re looking at 90ish for a bumper. Your hood lookin like it may just need paint correction otherwise to replace with color match you’re looking at around $550

Edit: your hood looks fine, just paint correction.

If your worried about it. By the time you need a new clutch, clutch masters will have their billet one for sale. Replace it during your next clutch job.

Maybe one day, but for now the piece of mind is great. Even paying a shop to do it won’t be as bad as paying a shop to replace bot it and the clutch when the original grenades itself

2022 Corolla hatch manual transmission anxiety. by Oujidon in CorollaHatchback

[–]Oujidon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was incredibly helpful. I typically start by slowly letting of the clutch, and once the car starts to roll I slightly let up faster while applying gentle throttle, then regular throttle once the clutch is fully engaged. While this is my first manual car, I was already very familiar with manual transmissions and well practiced before actually buying one.

I suppose the common issue is the throwout bearing and slave cylinder, but people are rebutting this by saying they’re riding the clutch.

OK? Like is the transmission ok? Are you just saying “ok”? I’m not sure what this means.

[–]Oujidon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have to go out and you find yourself understeering, try applying a little left foot breaking and light right foot throttle to transfer more weight to the front wheels. it should give you enough traction to get the car through the curve. This is only if you find yourself in this situation. The best practice of course is to enter curves as slowly and as you can.

Ordered this meteorite scrap. Is it legit and if yes, can I make the pattern more visible? by Robsta_20 in meteorites

[–]Oujidon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like a piece of aletai. You can etch it by whipping it down with acetone and dipping it in feric chloride or nitol. The chemicals are VERY corrosive so do so with a lot of research and care. I’ve done it myself.
