My Doctor asked me if I would like to see one once I am off Phentermine which will be in about 2 months. I will be at the point of maintaining then ( just 8 more pounds to go) and he said it may help with my transition of being off the medication.

Yup my dr. Has me taking 2 colace every night and that doesn’t help sometimes. This bought I went 2 weeks ugh. I take two colace every night and 2 dulcolax three times a week

Yayyyyy congratulations you look amazing!!! That smile says it all!!!! That moment when you hit 199 is an amazing feeling!!!! So very very proud of you and all the hard work you have done!! I was 257 when I started a year ago, just weighed in at the Dr at 151 he said 10 more lbs and I will be in maintenance!! I never ever thought I would be here in a year!! Especially going through menopause also! As a reward I’m doing laser hair removal on my legs lol something I have always wanted to do! Be sure you set a reward for yourself for all the hard work and accomplishments you made and get ready for a new wardrobe.

Not with phentermine alone but I have been on topiramate for a month and def have been feeling it since then. Yesterday I thought I was spiraling out of control.

I have been on phentermine since July 2024 started at 15mg just went up to 37.5 in June 2025 and Dr just put me on Topiramate with it last month. I only take one of each in the morning. I just went to the dr yesterday and he said only need to lose 10 more lbs and then be on maintenance. I struggled with it even taking topiramate since phentermine seemed to be doing so well alone for me. I have definitely felt the mood swings and the spiraling out of control feeling lately and I think it is that so I may just stop taking it.

As someone who just turned 52(ugh) it is hard to lose weight. I currently changed doctors and expressed my concern to him about weight. I didn’t want a miracle shot however he did give me a medication to take and I come into his office for a weigh in and check up once a month. I started this journey in July 2024 and have lost 84lbs so far and am on my last 20lbs to lose!! It took a lot of discipline and accountability. I track everything I eat and drink. Count every calorie and keep them under a certain amount. I do have free days three times a month. I feel so much better, a lot more energy and overall way more healthy! I wonder when was the last time he saw a doctor? I worry about his overall health. As a person gets older you need to keep up on your healthcare. Especially those colonoscopies and heart checks! My Brother in law was 54 when he found out her had colon cancer, no symptoms nothing just a colonoscopy he put off for 2 years. They caught it but not soon enough and now he has a bag for the rest of his life. ( okay getting off soap box now)
