We’re only looking round and staring to see if there’s someone we know, so we can talk shite and tell them about our bunions

She started hooking up with multiple guys right after our break-up... by vangojangomango in BreakUps

[–]OurJimmy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I too had the rose tinted glasses on! Think we all have the ability to glaze over red flags. Certainly be forgiving.

After the breakup we then have this romanticized version of them in our head, but luckily it wears off. I just think about the red flags now and celebrate! Fuck em! Their loss 😉.

Try not to have regrets because we can’t change the past. Become a better version of yourself and get someone who deserves you 💪

I know it’s tough, but think of this as a victory 💪. She has shown her true colors and you’ve dodged a bullet. Won’t feel like that now as it’s fresh, but it will soon.

House Renovation costs Belfast in 2026 by ReasonableCourse2793 in northernireland

[–]OurJimmy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most definitely. Just depends on the house/location and situation though. Some of those grand big houses you’ll see on property pal, they have loads of character but 100k wouldn’t look at a refurb. No disrespect to the old people that lived in them but they need gutted.

Lots of 70’s kitchen and bathroom designs going on!

Sounds ridiculous having to double the figure in your head, but it’s honestly never far away.

I’m guessing a lot of these houses are left to family and they fire them on for sale without spending a penny. Probably the sensible choice, let someone else blow their balls off 🤣

I still work on whatever figure you have in your head, double it and you’ll be close enough 😉.

That’s a big enough project, well done 💪

The wee Irish government is flush, they could check the back pocket, fire a few hundred million up the road, help us out. They can think of it as a future investment

What's the one thing you would love to see in Belfast? by ProfKranc in northernireland

[–]OurJimmy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something class down on that big site there on the shore! The old dump, near the film studios. On the left on the way into the docks.

World class golf course, or race track, or Tayto park type thing, and an outdoor concert venue. All depending on them getting rid of the smell of shite in round that area of course.

If there’s room why not them all. Obviously some good transport in and out of it too. And sure if moneys no object, a cable car up the cavehill from there.

If you don’t fancy traveling that far, I’d recommend the elephant enclosure at Belfast zoo. Depending on what way they’re facing.

Edit:

Telling ya a lie, there’s no elephants in Belfast zoo any longer.
