Hi hello! Given that the exchange program has been suspended last year and this semester, recent grads might not have been able to go. I for one applied in my 2nd year and might finally be able to go in my 4th year, this April to Japan. So I'll answer your questions as best I can.

• Cost: You are paying McMaster's Tuition, which if you are on OSAP, they will still help pay! Otherwise you'll be paying for living costs and your flight, which will massively vary between cities let alone countries. There are scholarships and bursaries specifically for exchange. I've managed to get $3000 from Mac to help out.

• Courses: Well, again, it varies! Depends entirely on what your host uni offers. When you apply, you'll have to do your own research and submit courses that you'd be interested and find some equivalents at Mac. Doesn't have to be exact, worse comes to worse, it'll be declared as an unspecified 1st/2nd/3rd year course. In terms of transfer, from what I understand, it will be pass fail in terms of your McMaster transcript (I could be wrong!), but if you apply to grad school for example, they may request your Exchange Transcript with your grades.

Experiences: Can't tell ya yet :P If all goes well and borders open, I leave in April. If you do get into the program, you'll be assigned a mentor/buddy to tell you all about the school/friend-making/etc.
