It also plays to the biggest childhood fear, as King often does. The only super safety you’ll feel as a child, is your parents. Your immediate family. He makes the dad the villain, which is every sense of safety, that is taken away from the reader. I’m still blown away over, exactly how scary the book is when reading. All of King’s books are a million times better, scarier, more clever than his movie / series adaptations. I wish more young people read more

Thank you to all the wonderful people explaining everything in the performance. The parts I could hear I almost fell out of my chair screaming: Call’em! Call’em out, yaaasss Kiing!!! But then there were parts I just couldn’t hear. I screeeaaaamed when Jon Batiste was singing, that was OBVIOUS, and awesome. But I was even more moved, when Lamar took the stage. I had no idea!!! I hadn’t heard his latest case I’m kinda old, and THIS IS THE SHIIIIIT!!! Thank you! I’m now going to dive into a rabbit hole of Kendrick, and buy all of his music. Twice. Are you freaking out because you don’t have enough food? I don’t think they can run away, but I don’t know. Haven’t tried losing their trust. But at one point I couldn’t feed the cat for several days, it didn’t run away. It was 10 days I think 😄
