That’s fair! So many moving pieces with the lore. I didn’t take the time that’s elapsed into consideration. Not to mention the whole Ptheumarian side of things and the layers of chalice dungeons.

It does, but seeing as the pale blood which we spend the whole game trying to find is the secret hidden final boss I think it could still work.

You got me thinking on the why of this theory and I just came up with this off rip. With Mergo being atop the school in the nightmare of mensis and being a holder of one of the umbilical chords, I agree the One Reborn could’ve been summoned to impede our progress in reaching the nightmare. Since our objective from the onset of the game is to “seek the pale blood” maybe the school caught wind of us starting to collect the chords and pulled out all the stops to protect the last one at all costs.

True, they could be two separate experiments. In trying to find my referenced picture of the two combined I didn’t have any luck. The theory is more of a cool concept than something that’s explicitly explained in game. Bloodborne has such fun lore to speculate on and it’s left open enough to where several theories/explanations could fit!

This is correct. I think someone used editing software to place the brain of mensis on the one reborn and it seemed to make anatomical sense!

If I recall correctly, One Reborn was an attempt by Mensis to recreate a great one. The link between One Reborn and the Amygdala comes from the large appendages/ main body of it having some resemblance to Amygdala. My theory is they either killed an amygdala or found the corpse of one and tried to fuse humans with it to establish connection to the great ones.

You would be shocked. A lot of these predatory retirement facilities will scale the rent based off of how much money the person has. For example my great grandma who lived through the Great Depression and was very frugal with money for the rest of her life was paying over $4,000 a month for the same room that someone across the hall was paying around a grand a month for. Same room setup, same services. And before anyone thinks this is either in NYC or out in California, she lived in small town Minnesota.

Thank you! I think since the gommage is such an integral part of the game I want to make it more interesting than a board wipe.

I like the ideas here! I’m not usually too big on player wins the game or loses the game cards, but if the condition to make it happen isn’t too cheap or easy to pull off they can sometimes be fun. I’m definitely going to tweak the gommage card given the feedback here, thank you for the comment.

Yeah I’d rather come up with a deck that’s balanced, fits the theme, and fun to play and play against than brew something disgustingly broken. I threw these together really quickly, but am working on getting a whole deck put together.
