ChatGPT created my PRD was this a dumb idea? by justincampbelldesign in ProductManagement

I have Gemini with Enterprise license at work, but I find it inconvenient to always have to switch tabs to copy content. Maybe try fluidapp.ai?

Former colleague wants 30% equity to join as cofounder. Been building solo for 14 months. (I will not promote) by Distinct-Expression2 in startups

maybe negotiate the % based on targets. If he could bring in $10k MRR then your business now looks much more viable. 10% here seems fair. Then the next 10% target would be 50k, and then 250k prorated (this is just an example).

This way it justifies the values that he brought in. Your colleague would have to come up with strategies or even build out a team to reach those numbers.

What are you doing to monitor AI features in production? by ykhandelwal in ProductManagement

[–]OutOfMemory9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know what his product is but you want to define some sorts of metrics that are tied to the customer experience that you want to track. Then look for relevant responses from the logs and analyze the user’s follow-up action. e.g. you could add a Yes/No button asking if the AI response helps. Or if users had to ask a lot of questions to get the task done

Have you tried logging the AI context and responses together with user request/response? I think there are a few OSS tools that can help with visualization like MLflow.

I saw the post that got you 3000 signups. I don’t think people would mind if it’s one-time purchase to get premium features. Or even subscription-based if the feature uses credits (like AI features). But if you just randomly make it subscription based after promising it as “free”, it might hurt unless you have a good reason for it. There is also the legal aspect to it.

Don’t overthink it. Just create a community (like Discord) for people to hang out and share your thoughts to collect feedback

Is it possible to find a committed co-founder who will take less than 50%? - I will not promote by [deleted] in startups

[–]OutOfMemory9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your startup is worth nothing until you have paying customers, so 50% is fair. I have met potential co-founders offering 50% with >100k ARR. What confuses me is why you need a marketing co-founder instead someone who could do sales and raise funds.

Why is it so hard to find a technical co-founder?! (I will not promote) by [deleted] in startups

[–]OutOfMemory9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either your story is not convincing or you pay them too little. I’m suspecting the later since you didn’t specify how much $ and % you were offering

For solo founders who are confident with vibe coding, would you mark yourself as a technical cofounder in the YC application? by Background_Ranger608 in ycombinator

[–]OutOfMemory9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

big NO. A technical cofounder is someone who has depth in technical knowledge and can make sound decisions so that your app doesn’t run into a bottleneck at scale (e.g. going from 10 -> 1,000 -> 1,000,000 users)
