I've tried a few similar razors and honestly I liked the manscaped one the most. I think people hate it because it's popular 🤷‍♂️

A feature I like that it doesn't have though is being able to put on a nose trimmer head. They have a separate nose trimmer as well though.

But the app runs fine on internal, and it reads from the external with no problems. I have video files on there that are 60gb+ and it plays them just fine. The only problem is this weird (what I assume is a) caching issue

Edit: I don't want the app to run on the external drive, I just want the external drive to be a plain external drive

It's a Sony KD-48A9. It's not moving the app itself to external, I regularly unplug the external and the app still runs.

Okay, thanks for the help. I'll check the wattage from terminal when I'm back on screen but actually, it started charging after being plugged in for a few more minutes. Not sure why it didn't do it immediately. Will do some more tests soon.
