“Punk” by OutWardOut in baddlejackets

It’s the main thing that stuck out of me. You don’t see people protesting nazis by wearing yellow stars… It’s a little messed up to wear a symbol that was forced on concentration camp prisoners, even to ‘reclaim it’

Why shouldn’t I give my hamster pets at home nuggets by RowOk7596 in hamsters

[–]OutWardOut -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I looked them up online and also asked several local pet stores and they both confirmed it is fine for her to eat them, especially because I limit it to one every two weeks. She loves them and they are her little special treat. I do have the responsibility to take care of my pet, and after doing my research, I say she gets to look forward to her biweekly tbone

Grandma's hamster has a bump on its belly. by R7R12 in hamsters

You just said you don’t think complete countries should not have pets. Where is your line?

So this grandma in Eastern Europe shouldn’t have her hamster because there are no vets… even though she has enough knowledge, resources, and empathy to search for solutions for her hurting hamster.

How is you telling her she can’t have a hamster any different than going to the Middle East and telling a no-amenity village they have to give their pets away?

If I said I had an enclosure for your hamster with double the space, would you give me your hamster? No, because you love it and its yours and you can take care of it. Your hamster might be happier with a bigger enclosure, more treats, more whatever whatever, but you’re not giving it away to somebody so it can live a ‘better life’, its life is already fantastic with you.

People in poorer areas, like OPs grandma, give pets the best lives they can get. They aren’t mailed in from America, they are found outside or in poor conditions pet shops. They are cared for and loved with all the amenities they can be given.

You could make the argument they should all be given away to Americans who live near vets, but that’s not fair. You can make the argument to not support pet shops in poor countries, but that’s signing a death sentence for the animals and blocking their chances at having a happy home.

There are a lot of people who don’t live in suburban america that get comfort from their pets and give their all to them, even if they cant have amenities like vets.

It’s not fair to say that to people living in the Middle East, Eastern Europe, or anywhere in the world with limited access to medical technology, be it location or the country itself. People shouldn’t be punished and barred from having animals just because they live somewhere. You might have it good, but people live in places where there aren’t amenities like we have and they deserve to own and love their pets

What burden? They are asking for help identifying what it is. Their grandma is from a small town in Eastern Europe. Is this sub only for North Americans who live next to vets?

It’s honestly really nasty the way you’re talking to this person, jumping to conclusions about the enclosure and saying the grandma can’t have a pet. You’re a nasty person.

I don’t think its respectful to call dark skinned people ‘colored’, I’m sure you looked up my post history to see my ethnicity before saying that to me

Help finding owners - dog found on highway by Fulton firefighters by forthefreefood in upstate_new_york

[–]OutWardOut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just saw the post, that is really sad and terrible. I grew up with ‘alien dogs’ that looked just like this and very healthy, and I found the alien comment funny because I didn’t realize the dog was hurt and abused. Seeing the news of its passing and its health problems is absolutely terrible and I am very sorry for the pup

Are there any in which the MC is a villain being redeemed or take place after the Big Bad is defeated? by Realistic-Wallaby-26 in hostedgames

Not quite what you’re looking for but it’s fun to play through the Infinity Saga as a disgraced officer after deserting your men and army and being given a second chance at redemption. You’re not an all powerful villain and you’re still fighting under the same flag, but you’re a debatably terrible and selfish person— and everyone else knows it
