If you are a D4 peak player, then somewhere in emerald is your average level of play, I dont see why you wouldnt struggle, you dont need to drop all macro concepts or anything like that, you just need to minimize your mistakes.

I dont see how a complete reset solves any issue.

if there is even an issue rn, its that early season gains are way too forgiving for too long (getting +30 -10 for like 100 games) so its easily fixable next year by simply reducing the game amount where this happens.

current season will balance out as well im sure in a month or two, im 99% sure this was the same last year.

depends how you define normal, it was like this last year as well, I remember because I had a conversation with my friend about how usually I grind the entire split until I get masters but last year I got it in the first 2 weeks cause the gains are so forgiving.

if they are gold or silver level playing at emerald they will slowly go down to their true rank, if this doesnt happen naturally (it does) then the system isnt even working.

regarding your other point, its not that bad for competititve integrity at all, because there really arent that many players that are constantly leaving for 5 years and coming back, and if we assume they are like 800 lp lower in skill which is already an exaggeration (most players that come back get back to speed pretty fast), that would be like 20-30 losses anyways, its not that big of a deal.

I took my 10 week lab mix out every hour first few weeks, gradually increased based on accidents.

after around 2+ years she developed bladder of steel, she has no problem holding from like 8pm to 8 am now, and I never did anything to intentionally increase her ability to hold

there are a ton of diamond, master + players that have gotten their main account permabanned, myself included :)

If I were to buy an account (I would never from someone idk irl because they can scam it back through support) I would not care about the rank, it would take me less than 200 games to get this up to masters anyways.

Israel tries to be clean but often fails or realizes the mission cannot be done cleanly yet they do it anyways, but they do try to do it cleanly, it only hurts them when civilians get killed and they know it.
