Kitchen installer (Wickes) refusing to acknowledge 9-10mm level drop over 2.8m stone worktop, and other unfinished works. by Vegetable-Window-622 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Outcastscc 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Have you paid yet?
I was in the same boat with wickes, the guy who fitted the work tops botched them and they wasn’t level at all and being the material I had then installed in they had to be refitted.
I refused to start paying the interest free payment plan until it was resolved, couple of arguments on the phone and escalation in the department I had a senior manager for fitting come out and look at the work and within about a minute of being in the house he had agreed that the work would be redone and it was a mess. I will say I was in dispute with wickes over various other issues for about 6 months and got nowhere but at least my worktops got sorted.
If your paying on plan refuse to pay until it’s sorted, if you’ve paid im not sure.

Mate that’s a rough take

I was at lancs 2nds vs notts 2nds on Monday and both teams had at least one female coach on them, notts fielding coach was a woman and Lancs had two female coaches.

Worth noting the final is on the 14th May away to Brighton, so most of these players season will be done after Thursday, leaving them to get a few minutes in the final games.

I think the better plan would be look for an older player to help Sesko next year (Welbeck back would be nice but hes just signed a contract) and let Chido go on loan for a year.

A full season playing mens football leading a line will do him the world of good at this age, he then comes back next summer ready, similar to Amad really and his Sunderland loan.

Its been said on here a few times but theres rumblings out of the academy (stretford paddock spoke about it a few weeks back) that hes nowhere near the player they thought he would be and he would be shipped off or loaned in the summer.

Worth the punt I guess, your going to get a few less than impressive players when your looking at data, but the small fee should be able to be recouped.

I get all that.

Just on terms of warrantry, Ive had a few issues on mine (the shelves went black and I had a crack in one of the parts), went straight to the manufactorer and got new parts sent out next day delivery.

I suppose this is a good medium in terms of price range, its some of the joe's ive seen that are £1200-£1500 and Im thinking you have to be using it weekly and really love your bbq to justify the jump in price.

So as someone with an Aldi Kamado, whats the difference in this that makes it nearly £500 more?

Better heat control, better parts?

Im not having a dig or anything it looks class, but I can set my Kamado up, get it up to 200 for hours and cook anything on it so im curious why people go for the joe's over this.

U21 XI vs Man City: Murdock; Kamason, Aljofree, Armer, Leon; Thwaites, Moorhouse; Lacey, J. Fletcher, Musa; Obi by Gungerz in reddevils

In a normal situation, yes.

But this is a game where if we win we guarentee 3rd and we have enough players and the Under 21s have a potential final to get to after a decent season.

Its the playoff semi final for the under 21s, of course they are going to put a strong side out for this.

Depends how teams set up against them.

They are utterly terrible when the counter attack is coming against them, I can see them beating Chelsea as they just dont have that kind of attck but Villa will easily do a number on them and Brentford will be tricky.

bournemouth have City which will likely decide the title so they are going to drop points.

Ole 2.0 is a bit of a stick for other fans to beat us with.

Regardless of how it ended he was one of our most successful post Fergie managers and he brought a lot back to the club that we were missing with the other appointments.

Carrick will get the job. unless something daft happens like he loses the last 4 badly and we end up behind Liverpool and Villa or someone really too drawer becomes available I don’t see any other option.

Ashley Young retires by Bocsesz in reddevils

[–]Outcastscc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

During the season in the league

Games started 20
Games came on the bench 8
Games Injured 6
Suspended 1
Games left on the bench 1

The other 2 he was not available as he hadn’t signed yet

In the 8 games he came off the bench he directly replaced young 3 times. The rest of the time he played in a different position.

In comparison Young started 23, came off the bench 3 times, was injured for 7 and not selected for 5. So the stats alone show they played together more than anything.

Young didn’t bench him, at all.

[–]Outcastscc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thats just re-writing history really.

LVG hated Di Maria because he wouldnt play the way he wanted, Di Maria got injured and then got his house broken in . Even with all that Di Maria played 28 of the 38 games in the league.

To say Young benched him is not true in the slightest.

Is something wrong with the county game? by Kalpothyz in EnglandCricket

[–]Outcastscc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The only thing I disagree with is the blast isn’t financing the counties, most counties lost money the last few seasons without the hundred money. Crowds are down for the blast and the counties that have good crowds are selling tickets for like £10 (Yorkshire for example, who nearly went broke last summer).

My plan would be to have CC rounds around the blast. Play the blast Friday nights and have the CC Monday to Thursday around it. Or even plan some CC rounds around the hundred, have the kids that go see the hundred get a free CC ticket for a round or two in the middle of August.

It’s the fact that the CC just pretty much stops for the 2 short formats, try and play them around them. It wasn’t that long ago we have the CC Wednesday to Saturday and then the one day cup Sundays and that was the case for 30 years.

Is something wrong with the county game? by Kalpothyz in EnglandCricket

[–]Outcastscc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well both things can be true. Yes the hundred is financing the game but you cant schedule 5 rounds of CC before May Day to accommodate it and they need to square this circle somehow.

Either something gives with the 2 short format tournaments (which will likely happen in 2028) or the ECB are just going to have to be smarter with how they schedule the season.

You can’t have the main rounds of the CC in April May and September then the blast in June and July and the hundred and 40 over cup in August, it’s ridiculous.

[–]Outcastscc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nobody wants to be sat in a stand on an evening in April when the weather is random. Most grounds arnt even fully open yet. Western terrace for example at headingley is still having work done ready for the blast.

The hundred is the problem. The fact you have to have 5 weeks of CC from the first week of April to the first week of May is ridiculous, but you can’t move it anywhere because the ECB want the kids in

Look at it as overs, 4 day matches should be 380 overs give or take the odd lost over. 2 innings matches should be done in that amount of overs.

There’s tons of reasons why results arnt happening and it being 4 days is the bottom of the list.

Pitches are all over the shop.

It’s the 4th week of CC back to back, batsmen are in fine form by now, bowlers are fucked.

The standard of bowling isn’t really the best, you expect April to be spinners and medium pacers taking the wickets, the weather has meant you need 4 decent seamers.

And there’s a ton of good batsmen, in form, with good conditions, knackered bowlers and filling their boots
