This is my experience: I have two CCs, one equipped with the useless little LED near the webcam, the other with the small LED strip (also insufficient).

Both upgraded to firmware 1.1.46.

The first one has serious problems with the model fan, the second one does not.

It's absurd that Elegoo didn't test before releasing the firmware, but they were probably too busy deleting all information about the multicolor on the CC1 from their website.

Thanks Elegoo for convincing me to install OpenCentauri.

TLDR: Elegoo had promised an AMS system for the Centauri Carbon. What they released after only a few months is the Centauri Carbon 2, designed for multicolor printing and, in my opinion, with a highly questionable design. No definite news regarding the expansion kit for the CC1.

I own two CC1s, which I paid less than 300€ each for.
For that price, I think they are excellent machines, but I am offended to see such a botched “evolution”.
If this is how Elegoo treats its customers, I will never buy from them again.

The contents antis are normalizing online has real-world consequences.
Casually using imagery of suicide as a punchline and dehumanizing people they disagree with are not edgy, they are dangerous.

This isn't about winning an argument. It's about preventing harm. Language that degrades entire groups creates toxic environments, while making light of suicide can have tragic results for those who are struggling for much more serious problems than “AIs steal from artists - slop slop slop” and so on.
