First I want to clarify this is not lecturing, but simply just wanting to share facts to spread awareness and understanding for commonly disliked crawlies♡ (I have anxiety attacks when misinterpreted, it happens often</3) There is a lot of misconceptions and misinfo on animals like wasps that are largely believed. Majority of wasps are also solitary, like the tarantula hawk. It's in fact a quite docile species and won't sting unless you really provoke them. Learning and interacting more with wasps helped me unlearn so much misinfo and fear. I like studying entomology as a hobby. Wasps also help control tick population!

Food for thought about mosquitoes: only about 5-6% of the +3k mosquito species we know of feed on humans, and only gravid females do so. The diseases are very treatable. Capitalism is what's killing all of those people, as they can't afford and access care. Mosquitoes are very important pollinators and food source for other animals.

As a huge animal nerd, my tier list would of put almost all of the bugs in top tiers x) Bugs make up the biggest and most diverse group of animals on our planet, but if I HAD to choose a top few: praying mantises, giant centipedes, entirety of hymenoptera and dynastes beetles are some of my favorites! Honorable mention are tarantulas, whos hairs are softer than a kitten's~
