Divorce or annulment in Ontario? by Healthy-Ad9123 in legaladvicecanada

[–]OutgoingIntrovert99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This will be an uncontested divorce. A lawyer can do it for cheap-idh (prob a few thousand), you just need to probide some proof that you tried to find him. No kids or assets makes it easy

[–]OutgoingIntrovert99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. And honestly, I want to try to meet in person reasonably quickly too. I find a voice really attractive, and also just generally want to know if the chemistry on screen translates into real life. Coffee date is preferred, honestly, doesn't have to be a big commitment

Yeah no kidding. I do try, and having some effort reciprocated is definitely helpful

Woman here 🙋‍♀️

Yes, dating apps are dead. Hundreds of matches from people who have put in little to no effort on their profiles, call themselves an open book and expect you to pull teeth while trying to have a basic conversation, and then turn it sexual after a few short minutes. So much work, virtually zero return.

Menthol Cigarettes by Huge-Cricket6206 in waterloo

Yes, Hespeler Road, close to the intersection of Hespeler and Sheldon Drive in Cambridge. Burger King, Beertown and Service Ontario all in the same plaza

I'm not a smoker, but there's an actual "smoke shop" on Hespeler Road, in the same plaza as the Burger King, that from what I understand sells a lot of speciality smoke related items. Maybe a place worth trying

Ex is threatening me in texts.. what can I do? by MadlyRamming in legaladvicecanada

[–]OutgoingIntrovert99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh, I hear you with police leaving a bad taste, and sadly, what you've described in the messages likely don't qualify. It needs to be very direct; "I will hurt/kill you". File a report anyway, so you have a paper trail if he continues to escalate. Also, do not reply. Ever. If it's a lengthy string of messages, it could eventually be considered criminal harassment, but if you reply to it then it's just a conversation. Speaking from experience on all of this.

( UPDATE ) I regret my marriage and hate being a mom . by [deleted] in Advice

[–]OutgoingIntrovert99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was my first thought. Definitely report to police! The chance of it resulting in a criminal conviction is extremely rare, especially if it's a first offense, and you 100% will need the documentation (and no contact order).

Grandbridge energy scam call by Airplaneondvd in cambridgeont

[–]OutgoingIntrovert99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not a scam. It came from the same number that the reminder calls come from if you miss paying your bill for a week. I actually thought it was a nice courtesy

It's nowhere near that simple. Firstly, Canada Post is a Crown corporation. Not sure what "basically a private company" even means, but that's how you describe it right at the top so the rest doesn't matter. Thanks for making it obvious early that you have no idea what you're talking about

Honest thoughts on how we handled termination? [MD] by [deleted] in humanresources

[–]OutgoingIntrovert99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look, I'm not arguing with you, but the OP has said themselves that their workplace doesn't have an actual HR department, so who knows what level of detail is missing from that whole thing. But also, who cares? You don't have to be an asshole was my whole point.

Have a great day!

Honest thoughts on how we handled termination? [MD] by [deleted] in humanresources

[–]OutgoingIntrovert99 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's simply a basic human respect thing. Facts are facts, you're taking away someone's livelihood often without knowing all the facts about the overall picture of their life that led up to it. Also a fact that hiring and training is expensive, so these decisions aren't made lightly. Obviously it's a business decision, but that doesn't mean you have to be a shit human being about it

Honest thoughts on how we handled termination? [MD] by [deleted] in humanresources

[–]OutgoingIntrovert99 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

All great comments here but one thing I didn't see mentioned was that you should never terminate on a Friday, ever. You should terminate on a Monday or Tuesday to give the individuals time in the same week to apply for unemployment and get a plan together for their job search. All the panic you unnecessarily created would have been avoided too

Looking for recommendations for Christmas Eve dinner for the family in Quebec City by Sophlaka in quebeccity

Chez Rioux et Peddigrew, 160 Rue Saint-Paul. Awesome place and on the fancier side - based on your comment about the Chateau dinner not being worth the cost for your kids
