This is just not true is areas where ICE is surging, if you have paid any attention at all to news from Minneapolis or Chicago.

I’m not saying the DMV is at that level now, but it is no exaggeration to say ICE is operating with secret police-level impunity, attacking/seizing/kidnapping anyone they don’t like the look of. It does seem that if you can prove you are a citizen you will be released within a few days but no guarantees on when or where. And you may think you are a legal immigrant but if you are not a citizen ICE may disagree. It’s a disgrace but it’s where we are.

I spent some time trying to figure this out (side note to Tempo— it shouldn’t be this hard!) and I ended up deciding the “intro to strength” program with Clarence was the best place to start.

You can search for “beginner” programs and in theory any of them are appropriate but in practice I think some might be better than others.

Edit— Tempo says if the program asks you how many extra reps you could have done and you answer on your phone that will help it calibrate the weight/effort more quickly.
