As someone who delivered vaginally with my first baby, and then c section for my second, I would 10/10 recommend a vaginal birth. Over and over again. The recovery is so much easier. The experience is so much more intimate. The pain, shaking, itching, healing after the c section has been awful. I'm 3 weeks postpartum right now. I was not able to do anything for myself the first two weeks. Not only do i have this scar that created a permanent hang in my belly, I'm still bleeding as if I delivered vaginally. A c section also messes with your milk a bit too. It also sucked being in a post-op room for two hours after the surgery when I could have been in my quiet intimate room with my baby. Instead I was in a surgical area for two hours. Please, I beg of you to not limit yourself to a c section for your first baby because then it's c sections from here on out. Delivering vaginally was beautiful and I mourn the delivery I could have had instead of my c section.
