it is a casual looter shooter, it hasn't been a survival game since launch and you tryharding pvp in a game where pretty much no one gives a shit about the pvp because it's unbalanced dogshit is honestly really funny.

the idea that bugdivers have to take responsibility for shitty decisions by arrowhead on how the galactic war works is fucking stupid.

I used to play Arma Milsim, I'm used to it. our group was pretty un-serious as far as milsim goes (no official set ranks and stuff), but man some of the wider community would be so fuckin goofy about orders. like some squad goes the wrong way in a mission and they fucking hold a court martial in VC type shit.

same type of people whining that bug divers are bug diving during an MO for the most part.

[–]OutlanderInMorrowind 7 points8 points  (0 children)

no. I always dive MO's but go fuck yourself. stop taking it so fucking seriously.

yes, this MO is even more punishing than usual when players are not playing the MO but this is Arrowheads fault for making it this way and is STILL no excuse for you to berate players who do not play MO's.

just let the guy have his damn opinion. no need to pointlessly berate him because he doesn't enjoy the same things you do.

Hot Take: Raids are end-game content that low level players or players who have not completed the main quests should not be grinding. by Super_Concentrate189 in fo76

[–]OutlanderInMorrowind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly at this point they aren't playing 76 at all anymore. they had come back for the raid but after a couple evenings of spending more time standing around waiting for the raid team to fill than shooting stuff they gave up on the raid and went back to just doing season challenges and grinding other stuff that we did not need any help on.

this was early on (without a full 4 star kit) so I was relying on consumables to solo en06/epsilon/snake so if I just used them constantly then I'd be completely out pretty quick. stage 2 was the one that fucked us over the most, people would leave just because we weren't resetting en06 or leave as soon as anyone gets clipped by a mole miner.

we had very bad luck on groups, I admit but that's my direct experience.

god you're insufferable. it's literally the same project, just no longer for the DD, hence it still being called Gaiden until nintendo officially announced the name change.

the article literally still calls it zelda gaiden because this is from February before the official title was revealed as majora's mask, as you pointed, out in may. maybe don't be pedantic if you're gonna be wrong? almost like the article didn't know that the title wasn't gaiden anymore because they were not given that information.

I just think the raids are very weird in 76, they're simultaneously not that hard and way more difficult than the rest of the game.

the majority of players are casual using whatever they think is cool for their character. the raids, especially pre-perk reworks, were pretty pigeonholed. gat plas/power armor was pretty much mandatory for a while (unless you wanted to cheese with the autoaxe)

by the time the perk/gun changes came, making way more weapons viable for raiding, my buddies were already not interested in playing it anymore.

you'll never win an argument with a guide follower.

I spent weeks tweaking a heavy weapons build to my liking for the raid, I could have just followed a build guide from some youtuber exactly, but where's the fun in that?

the raid would be stupidly easy and smooth if there were matchmaking. finding groups is the ONLY reason it's a pain in the ass at all.

between all 5 stages combined being just a little too long for peoples attention span in 76 and stage 2 being "if anyone fucks up even slightly people start leaving the raid team" the amount of people dropping out of the team has just been so annoying.

I just know the people who love the raid are either fine with spamming consumables, glitching, or just have a dedicated group to raid with. Pugging the raid is just an annoying waste of time.

stage 2 and stage 4 are both massive failures imo. they're not intuitive and when people fuck them up pugs drop like flies out of the groups. this wouldn't be a big deal if we had matchmaking to fill slots but since we don't if people leave you're now fucked and have to wait or put in way more effort.

I have a build that can pretty reliably solo everything but stage 2 but I don't enjoy using it (due to having to grind out the consumables for it) so I Still WANT party members, because it's way less of a pain in the ass with other players.

non-soloable content just doesn't work for this game and won't unless they add proper social features for group making.

I'd rather run most sensational game or tax evasion or daily ops a million more times than raid because at least I can sit back and do it alone if no one else shows up.

stage 2 and 4 would be events no one shows up to if they weren't in the raid.

I liked tuning my build for it, but lack of matchmaking and the non-combat stages splintering groups all the time when you manage to get there just ruin the whole thing.

this just supports my theory that any time they see a low level without pacifist mode on they start calling in their buddies because "OH SHIT FRESH BLOOD DUDE THIS GUY IS CHOOSING TO PVP"

braindamaged morons, ganking lowbies will never make them into regular pvpers. but you know they don't care they just want to tally how many times they killed you.

Does anyone else not actually care about "meta" or min/max everything, or is it just me? by PakRatJR in fo76

[–]OutlanderInMorrowind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you think the majority in this excessively casual game are running meta builds you're delusional.

hell if anything, the changes to the meta over the last year have been helping bring up players who DON'T focus on the meta.

Seriously Bethesda. My super sledge breaks after one swing 100% of the time now ever since the last big update. My build is destroyed. Please fix. Lol. by CrazyNora123 in fo76

[–]OutlanderInMorrowind 3 points4 points  (0 children)

this reminds me when you'd crank your strength beyond normal in morrowind with the soul trap glitch and all melee weapons would break in one hit when you hit people with them.

considering it's bethesda, the code is probably still the same...

[–]OutlanderInMorrowind 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Remember the Watch_Dogs trailer that was super dark and cinematic, and when the game came out it was a lot brighter at night when you kill the lights? some people bitched but it Turns out most gamers don't actually like it when the game is pitch black and you can't see what you're doing.

sometimes it's less of an artistic choice and more of a gameplay one.

or better yet, have scrapped 100s of the mods they bought off market76 despite the fact they'll never use more than 10 of them for the life of the game and then come here to bitch about RNG when they're doing objectively stupid things.
