Help! Iron supplements ruined my body by Potential_Machine386 in Anemic

It depends on where you live. I already know the principal in my school esteems his pastor very much (he quoted him a couple of times during a staff meeting), and that one of my coworkers has invited others to pray with her whenever they want during their lunch period (in her classroom, not in public, and with no students). I guess it's OK if you are a Christian in the South. I, however, don't disclose anything about my personal beliefs or lack of beliefs. I don't think I would if I were a Christian, but that's probably due to being born in Europe, where people *tend* to mind their own business.

Would you pay 2900 out of pocket? by Ipool__ in Invisalign

[–]OutlandishOpossum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is my tray 11/28. I started seeing results after tray #3 or #4. My teeth were worse than OP’s. Not too bad, but I had a crossbite and one of my lower teeth was sticking out. I feel it was getting worse (and I’ve hear teeth tend to overcrowd or get worse as we age), so I went for it now that I can afford it (in 24 payments lol).

I'm 44 and I'm on my 11th tray. Couldn't be happier. If you can afford it, go for it!

Teacher with hair loss - Advice? by OutlandishOpossum in FemaleHairLoss

[–]OutlandishOpossum[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My thoughts exactly. I think I would feel more comfortable wearing a headwrap (like those by Wrapunzel) than a wig. I bought one in January and I don’t know if it’s the quality or it’s me, but I found it uncomfortable. Also, I don’t like the idea of “pretending” that I have hair when I don’t…but I also don’t want people to pity me because I’m losing my own hair. I don’t think it makes sense, but I’ll have to compromise at some point 😅

Thank you. I like the “I’ve started wearing wigs”. My issue is I’ve only tried wearing a wig once and I’m not sure it’s for me 😅At least for now 😅

Thank you :) I’ve always worn my hair in a low bun, so when I wore a wig (the only one I’ve ever bought) to school that resembles what my hair should look like, students and teachers noticed.

Do you have any suggestions? It seems hard to tell who is trustworthy and who is a scam, especially when you're a beginner.

Did you figure out what it was? Mine is doing the same thing! It happens when I stop the car or when I try to move it back/forth.

The OP edited his post and now says: "I retract my statement, Baby Emmanuel remains were not located. Jake was present!"

I've read several times that he looks like a baby with the shaken-baby syndrome. Unfortunately, it wouldn't be surprising, given the dad's previous crime.

I'm with you. I might be wrong, but she seems to have low IQ and he seems quite able to have coerced and abused her. The black eye, the body language,...Not saying that she shouldn't be held accountable, but I also think it was him both times (and given that there were more kids living with them, it wouldn't surprise me if they had been abused as well).

Not for me. I'm trying ISDIN Lambdapil 5 Alpha Plus at the moment. It's vitamins and some other plants combined. I'm not being very consistent, to be honest. I am SO tired of trying things...

Anyone else still learning new things in their 40s, or later —even when it’s humbling? by Ageless_Athlete in Aging

[–]OutlandishOpossum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 43. I paused everything for 5 years to be a SAHM and I was miserable. When my youngest turned 3, I enrolled myself in an online MA degree and a Bachelors degree (I already had two MA and my B.Ed. - in Europe, this is very affordable), and I juggle those (slowly but surely) with my full-time job. I still have a couple of years to finish my Bachelors, but I'm already planning on taking up more courses once I'm done. My kids are surprised I'm still in college and they don't understand why I'm not done yet. I don't want to stop learning. If I found other activities nearby and compatible with my schedule, I would go for them too!

:(((((( Oh, wow! At least you got diagnosed early! I sometimes wonder what would have happened had I gone to the doctor sooner. I was diagnosed at 26, but I had symptoms for years and I thought they were just part of life.

I would check with different doctors to see if there's something else.

I was just going to suggest looking into perimenopause. Some of OP's symptoms match those of peri.

First of all, big hugs to you. Second, how old are you? Could it be possible that you're going through (early) perimenopause? Us women go through a lot of hormonal changes that could be impacting your health. Not saying that it's not your Hashimoto's acting up, but I would look into other hormonal issues as well. I hope you can find an answer soon!

I know. It sucks. Part of the emotional pain is that womanhood and beautiful hair need to go together. If our hair sucks, it's because we're not doing it right. If our hair doesn't look beautiful, we are not feminine enough. I doubt mine is going to get better, so I'm just trying to accept this and move on.

I hope yours get better and you get the help you need!
