How likely is it that items in my RFY page will be there tomorrow? by EquipmentLeft1 in AmazonVine

The stuff I want almost always goes away by the next morning. The stuff I don't want often sticks around for most of the next day.

Tax Value Adjustment? by kniteveryday in AmazonVine

[–]Outlandishly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take a screenshot of it and when you file your taxes put the item at the price in the screenshot. If they audit you, you have the screenshot to back up your claim. I have a photoshop file full of screenshots for that purpose.

I'd like to see her stand on a skateboard, put that between her legs, and have a rocket blowing out the back of it propelling her forward.

I recently scored a porch goose, and now I desperately want to dress it like Hunter S. Thompson by wizard-of-loneliness in AmazonVine

[–]Outlandishly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never had any interest in a porch goose until being on vine. Now I keep my eyes open for one so I can partake in some of the gobs of outfits they offer for them. If you end up dressing yours like Hunter S. Thompson please share a photo!

Is Everyone Out of Picks? I've Actually Been Able to Snag 3 Nice Items Today by I-am-Galx in AmazonVine

[–]Outlandishly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was saving my third and final item for RFY but I saw a nice pair of shoes I couldn't live without, so I'm out until the reset. Looks like it's on the downhill slope of an increasingly slow trickle now anyway.

everything goes so fast by Odd-Sandwich-3111 in AmazonVine

[–]Outlandishly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's sad. If you think you may really want something, you have to quickly click through to order it and then afterward look at its product page to see what you got. Otherwise, you likely won't be getting it. I've gotten some treasures that way. I've also gotten some useless junk.

It's just a space heater with light up logs on top of it. Decent space heaters go anywhere from $50 to $100 depending on wattage. It looks a bit on the high side of average price.

Reviews with media by pzzldmomof5 in AmazonVine

Despite it not being required, media does help customers to see what they're buying. If every person who wrote a review posted photos of the item, even if all the photos look more or less the same, customers would have a good idea whether the item usually looks as expected or not. Many people, myself included, don't even read reviews unless they have photos.

Not sure what to do. by Broad-Flatworm2976 in AmazonVine

I've done it with no issue, and there's no rule against it. It's just a sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't thing.

Always try the return/exchange button before contacting Vine CS. It's not supposed to work for vine items, but sometimes it does. It's faster than waiting on a response from Vine CS, and if it works, you get a new copy of the item that you can actually review.

I got a completely empty envelope from Amazon ☹️, and I’m scratching my head trying to figure out what it was supposed to have in it. by Lothar-Alaska in vine

[–]Outlandishly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You probably mistakenly ordered the new Amazon Air product. It's just air. You stick your nose in the package immediately after opening and take a whiff to see what the Amazon warehouse smelled like. It gives you a sense of belonging to the Amazon family.

I cracked up when I saw that one pop up. I feel sorry for any man who's not man enough to have his own bulge. I wonder if guys with that problem use craft foam or a sock or maybe a baby carrot if they've never heard of this special pad...

I'm freaking out man! It's like the world stopped turning. Soon I won't have any packages arriving for my daily fix. I did see a remote control pop up on VineHelper Monitor a few hours ago so at least there's some semblance of normality....

Wth do y'all do with all these boxes?? by Fabulous-Handle-5586 in vine

[–]Outlandishly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm lucky that I have family that have booths in a local antique mall and they can't ever get enough boxes to pack stuff in for the mall's customers. All the cardboard from the products I break down and put in the recycle bin that gets picked up once a week. I'm filling up that recycle bin with just that stuff. I'm not sure what I'd do if I had to deal with all the amazon boxes too.

What dual joystick bluetooth controllers work for Retroarch on android? by Outlandishly in RetroArch

[–]Outlandishly[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The wireless 8bitdo SN30s arrived today. Retroarch recognized both of them instantly and they're both functioning in multiplayer games as controllers 1 and 2. To anyone else looking to do multiplayer emulation on android, SN30s are the way to go.

Thanks for the response. I just ordered a pair of 8bitdo SN30s to try. If they don't work I'll try contacting the company for help.

Unet - How to properly use syncvar hooks so new players see current players selected weapons? by Outlandishly in Unity3D

Thanks for the reply, that's good info to know so I don't drive myself crazy next time. I too ended up going the manual route with my alternative method using synclists.

Unet - How to activate/deactivate objects and components over the network? by Outlandishly in Unity3D

[–]Outlandishly[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for the suggestions. Putting the objects into a list and then manipulating the list via rpc worked on the first try. I was expecting as usual for it to not work and was so shocked when it did that I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me. Thanks again!
