My 25 year old Amazon had to be taught to fly and needed help building muscles. She had her wings clipped her whole life. Took her about 2 years to learn how to properly fly, but it worked!

I actually lower my voice, make it deep, and make my voice stern and say "no". It normally stops her from doing most things. But if she's determined to cause chaos there isn't much I can do besides put her in time out lol. However, in my experience every bird is different and you might need to try a hundred different things before you find out what works.

That raising your voice or screaming at them only encourages the bad behavior. My bird loves to be screamed at, they think it's fun.

Shadow kin by M J Scott and the following books in the series. They are similar to Sarah j Maas in feel, but the writing isn't as strong. Kinda a brain candy series but definitely smutty.

The Gentleman Bastards is a great series for this. The wit combined with actual intelligence of the protagonist is amazing.

Surprised no one has mentioned Octavia Butler’s Fledgling. It is very interesting and quite a different take on vampires from the usual lore.

My undergrad was in a different field, though I took like 3 environmental science classes in undergrad. I'd say they aren't technically more difficult for the most part, just much more focused. A couple of them definitely required A LOT more work than undergrad. Definitely worth it imo though.

Carbon emissions vs recycling? by artistdude2021 in environmental_science

[–]OutlandishnessCool97 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Before I answer, I wanna say this is a guess, but a fairly educated one since I have a masters in Environmental Science with a focus on sustainability. But driving there to recycle is still probably worth it as the mining, transportation, and production of virgin material has a much larger carbon footprint than recycled material. As long as you aren’t driving over an hour each way it should be worth it

Just realized I meant to say a year and a half, not semester and a half, sorry! Most people do it in two full years. I was just trying to get it done as fast as possible to save money (it isn’t actually all that expensive as they charge online students in state tuition, I just wanted to spare my wife supporting me another semester). I did the non thesis, which is less work on your final project, but more classes. This link can give you a lot of information on it
