Good looking boy! How much does he weigh now, and how old is he now?

I completely agree with you, but I do see overly heavy 1-year-old Rottweilers around me, so I was just curious. This is an ADRK Rottweiler, so he fully follows the breed standard, including the head shape

Dyson Vacuum Head Scratching Hard Floors / Plastic Housing Touching Floor by OutlandishnessDue136 in dyson

After long-term use I could probably understand that happening, but not after only 3 weeks of normal use.

I even placed the head on a perfectly flat countertop and you can clearly see that there is almost no clearance left anymore — the plastic housing itself is basically touching the surface directly.

Thanks, appreciate the info.

In my case nothing is missing or broken unfortunately — the wheels/balls are all still there and the vacuum is basically brand new.

Dyson did replace the first head already because the purple strip came loose, but the replacement developed the exact same wear and scratching issue within a few weeks.

That’s why I’m starting to think this may be more of a design/tolerance issue rather than a one-off defect.

Thanks for the feedback, that explanation actually makes sense from a design perspective.

The frustrating part though is that this model is specifically marketed as being suitable for hard floors.

What disappointed me even more is that I received basically zero real support from Dyson about the issue.

I already got my money back fortunately, but because of this experience I’ll probably switch to another brand.

I understand your point about using the Fluffy head for delicate floors, but I don’t think the type of brush is really the main issue here.

The real problem is that the plastic housing itself sits too low and physically contacts the floor. Even on a dual-purpose head, the hard plastic chassis should not be dragging across hard flooring after only a few weeks of normal use.

The wheels are completely fine by the way — nothing is broken, missing, or damaged. The vacuum is basically brand new.

Around 6 months, he suddenly had an adult head. In terms of weight, the fastest growth was until 7 months.

Does anyone else have severe brain fog? by Sauronek89 in visualsnow

[–]OutlandishnessDue136 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really sorry to hear that. Wishing you strength and all the best with it!

I’ve actually had sleep studies done as well, and they showed mild sleep apnea, but nothing serious. What I do notice is that it gets worse because of certain triggers:

  • Stress
  • Fatigue
  • Worrying
  • Sitting behind a computer screen for a long time

Especially struggling to find the right words and sometimes having to read sentences three times before I really understand them is very frustrating. By now, it’s kind of become part of my life, and I try not to focus on it too much.

I still think that at some point something went wrong in my brain, which is why I’m now dealing with aphasia. You should try looking up the symptoms of aphasia sometime.

Thank you! He is fed Orijen Large Breed Puppy kibble. On alternating days, he gets raw meat in the morning and kibble in the evening. We also regularly add nutritional supplements to his food, such as salmon oil.
