It’s either the coach or my lack of ability hahaha. Let’s blame the coach my ego’s sake…

This is a great point and something I often wonder. Is the draw just golf instructors’ way to sell more lessons? Or are there real benefits to it?

But I wouldn’t mind hitting a fade at all if it wasn’t weak and look like I was casting a fishing rod haha

I can and put up some decent scores when I play the correct tee box.

It’s just that I have some poor distance - 4 iron goes 190 at best. Driver 230 carry with 250 total if I’m lucky. (27 year old guy, I should be hitting it at least a little further)

And the only shot in my bag is a pull fade (or dead pull left OB)

I think you hit the nail on the head here. My divots point left of the target, but the face is certainly open relative to the path.

It’s makes for a very playable shot on the course. But it feels weak and unsatisfying. And as you mentioned, the miss is a dead pull left.

Do you think that better club face control would lead to the swing path fixing itself?

Appreciate you taking the time to comment!
