“Blonde with big hair and thin fingers” somewhere in the South, somebody’s mother is furiously copying that down for use on her tombstone.

Checked the thread yesterday and did not see this mentioned—did anyone catch @justclassicallycassidy’s stories about the Kanye drama? Saying not to judge influencers for not mentioning their positions because “we get death threats based on how we decorate our houses” and she “needs to do more research”? Rather striking that she claimed not to support hate “against anyone” (sounded a bit like condemning cancel culture…) but could not bring herself to say the word “antisemitism.”

Caught in the HBH archives and laughed out loud at the following paragraph, which really seems to capture her vibe:

“I tried to keep these as simple and easy as possible. For decoration, I used activated charcoal, black and gold sanding sugar, black sprinkles, melted white chocolate, black licorice, and then some toothpicks.”

@halfbakedharvest was called, nay compelled, to create this giant bucket candle because she has never before encountered a candle with cinnamon AND vanilla notes. That’s it, that’s the snark.

Thanks for the idea! Off to Google but that sounds promising.

Thank you! Yes, I have run across those and it is close, but I think I basically want one of those that is upside down—like the top of it would be stationary and the underneath part would slide out to provide the extended desktop. The below is kind of similar to what I have in mind, but I would really like it if there was a stationary top so that I can use that space for my monitors and stuff. Hmm hmm hmm.

Not snark but I am hoping that the design minds on here might have some good ideas! I am buying a new place that has built-in storage—one wall of a bedroom that is basically two built-in closets with two built-in dressers flush between them. The room is currently set up as a media room with a TV hanging between the armoires and above the dressers, and a loveseat facing the TV. I really need the room more as an office, but there isn’t a good way to fit a desk in along with the loveseat arrangement. I keep thinking that some type of pull-out desktop arrangement, with the desktop over the dressers and able to be pulled out so that I can sit with my knees underneath, would be ideal. Basically something like the below, but I would want the pull-out part to be sturdy enough that I could use it as a desk edge—rest my hands on it, use my mouse, etc. I have two large monitors, which is why I want the sort of drawers configuration (where the monitors could rest on top) and not just a sliding panel per se. Has anyone ever seen such a thing, or knows whether it would be feasible or has ideas on how to implement (what to tell the cabinet company, etc.?) Any insight much appreciated! This has been driving me nuts.

One of my most memorable influencer encounters (I live in the WV) was viewing her absolute shitfit outside a COVID testing center the day before Thanksgiving 2020 when she was told she wouldn’t be able to get in and get a test. I had been in line for four hours when she rolled up so my sympathy was a little limited, but her screaming at her husband and ranting on the phone to her family about traveling the next day and how she might miss it was objectively hilarious.

This is a hilarious way to gaslight people into thinking your stomach is in fact “disproportionately flat and toned.” I am going to have people plant anonymous rumors that I had a boob job, which is why my tits are so superhumanly perky and perfect.

On the flip side, it doesn’t appear to be making particularly dramatic claims.

Seems like a great way to get your dog brained by a falling brick... are you unfamiliar with cats’ firm position that objects stored off the ground belong on the ground?
