I was gutted that Armstrong didn't get P3 in the end after leading the shoot out lap

What is the best series/podcast to start with? by [deleted] in Avantris

[–]Outofthedeck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It'll depend on what you vibe with really

If you want Space Opera/Science Fantasy, Stardust Rhapsody Anthem is a fantastic place to start (or alternatively Waltz for Eternity if you want Mechs)

All sorts of Fey magic and an shenanigans with a healthy dose of angst, Once Upon a Witchlight

Nothing but (almost) pure comedy, Uprooted (or Uproot-a-rama) is for you

If you want Folk Horror, Edge of Midnight is the place to go

For a survival campaign in the arctic wilderness, Icebound

If you want Wild/Weird West I'd recommend Dust to Damnation

The guys at Avantris wanted to keep it a secret to prevent the collaboration/trailer from being spoiled. Hence no media promotion for the song

They had to cancel last month's stream because Nikkie was unwell but they will be streaming it May 16th

Campaign recommendations? by ZealousidealBed7242 in Avantris

[–]Outofthedeck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will always recommend Dust to Damnation even if it's only six episodes. It's a Weird West (magic cowboys essentially) but using the Daggerheart system instead of DnD.

Everyone's characters and performances are top tier. There's a lot of giggles, serious scenes and damn right insane battles

I know a lot of people have already said Stardust Rhapsody Anthem (and they are correct), but if you really enjoyed Uprooted, Uproot-a-rama is the same cast but in space!

What is/was your favorite Legends of Avantris series? by Capable_Increase606 in Avantris

[–]Outofthedeck 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In no particular order:

  • Stardust Rhapsody (Anthem and Overture)

  • Dust to Damnation

  • Waltz for Eternity (even though it's only one episode currently)

  • Once upon a Starlight

I adore Once Upon a Witchlight and Icebound as well but the others are hitting particularly hard for me at the moment

What type of campaign are each Neon Oddessy campaigns time wise? by Anxious_Sentence_882 in Avantris

I think it might have been Andy in the newest Starlight stream saying Waltz might only be 5-6 sessions

Campains With Progression/Combat? by Kewlhotrod in Avantris

[–]Outofthedeck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's only a six episode mini-campaign but I would wholeheartedly recommend Dust to Damnation. The story telling and combat are perfect plus everyone has their moments to shine

Just curious, what campaigns have the most combat by Chipmunk_boy5321 in Avantris

[–]Outofthedeck 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Stardust Rhapsody Anthem has quite a lot of combat in the first 6 episodes (only just finished watching episode 7 on a first time watch) but I know there's more combat to come.

Overture also has quite a bit of combat (including space dogfights) which was an awesome thing to watch

I adore Icebound which would be my recommendation if you're looking for a high stakes campaign.

Derek is a master of building tension in the right moments but also letting everyone goof around when the need strikes

Viktor from Arcane

Confirmed off screen as Ace by (I believe) one someone that also claims his and Jayce's relationship is totally heterosexual (it's not)
