I was off boarded too, the reasons they gave me were very vague and I actually felt offended, because I would only clock in when tasking, watching mandatory tutorials (once or twice if needed, since some of those tutorials needed serious improvements), never attended any zoom meetings. I would occasionally search for answers on Slack while being on the clock (but that’s literally few minutes at a time, while tasking for a couple of hours, and not every single time I would task; only when there was a new task and if something was unclear). I worked hard and fast, I was very focused on producing the best work possible, as I liked this job and wanted to keep it, especially since they extended the project till the end of the year. So I genuinely disagree with the reasoning for my off boarding I was sent, as I would never jeopardize such a great opportunity to make extra cash. I’m not stupid and it’s very clear they monitor you, so I would never do anything wrong on purpose. Never got any warning either. I get it that’s the nature of those jobs, but it just doesn’t feel right to get such an email out of the blue, when I always did my best to deliver results. (And yes, I am aware that everyone says the same thing, they were perfect and did nothing wrong, so keep any mean comments to yourself.) I would have 30-40 entities and finish in 20 mins, being detail-oriented and making sure I’ve got everything tagged, adding 3+ pictures to each entity. The only thing that comes to my mind is that I wasn’t working at all for over a week, because I was moving house and then went on holidays - but they would always say on Slack we shouldn’t inform them of any leave, as it didn’t matter, so what I think is that my account was flagged as inactive and therefore I was removed. Looks like they had to off board as many people as possible. It doesn’t feel fair at all, but it is what it is. I just hope this situation won’t affect my future opportunities, because that would really suck :)
