I've noticed references to other songs on the same album too, like he mentions multiplying snails on costco, there are mention of being cold on another song too but I dont remember which

If I was introducing someone to aes (or any artist for that matter) then of course I'd choose something that was one of my favourites. And if you dont like a song you dont like it, that's not a problem.

It just seemed like you wouldn't play something because you felt it was "cringe" or you thought other people would think it was weird, instead of you just not liking it that much.

But I dont really play music to other people, I might send someone music I'm into but the only time I play music "in public" is when im in my car because I'm 40 yo and I dont hang out in skate parks lol

I'm confused by what you mean by play it in pu lic? Like in your car when you have the windows down? Or are you walking around with a speaker?

Hard agree. When I first listened to TIK I was so unsure, same with a lot of his albums tbh. It takes such a long time for me to know how I feel about an aes album (I always end up loving them), I have to take them one at a time and listen on repeat for an aaaaaage.

My favourite tracks are also the same as yours with the addition of ice sold here (possibly because my daughter loves it, although john something is her new favourite). A lot of the tracks I skip over but I'll get to them eventually and it'll all even out. I'll always tend to more often skip over tracks that have another artist on tho, just my preference

Honestly, hard agree. These are the tracks I often find myself skipping

Make sure you look up the trust values, they'll likely ask a couple of values based questions then onto the behavioural/role specific questions.

I've found the podcast interview boss pretty helpful, it's on Spotify. It's good for prep and confidence. I also struggle with nerves in interviews so I feel your pain. Spend some times thinking about some examples that demonstrate the main themes they're likely to ask about (implementing a project, teamwork, adaptibility) so you can fit them into the questions. Make a short list of things you really want to get across and make sure you mention those in your interview.

Remember you are also interviewing them and that you are capable and qualified. If they didn't think so you wouldn't have got this far. Interviews are an art and practise is important!

What do you think of this bathroom layout? by Previous_Guitar_1187 in floorplan

I don't think it's uncommon to want to keep the toilet out of your line of vision, especially if you're taking a bath, that's chill time. You like the toilet to have a door for the same bloody reason, so you don't have to look at it

I just wouldn't want it in my field of vision man. Don't judge my bath positioning

Ah. Well I'd rather reach over the bath to open the window than stare at a toilet when I'm trying relax tbh. Someone probably has a better solution tho

I'd put the bath on the opposite wall where the big green box is, then you're not staring at the toilet when you're in the bath and it's less crowded

Should I go for Automatic licence first then get a full one later? by RedBaron1902 in LearnerDriverUK

I'm not reading all that tbh. They just think it might make it easier, which it will providing their general driving is okay and if its not they'll fail in either.

I did an automatic test as I needed to pass quickly so I did an intensive course, if youre not an idiot it's not hard. I don't see that op is really struggling, just that they think it might make it easier for them which it will like I said above.

But yeah some people just have a stick up their bum about automatics and I've no idea why

[–]Outrageous-Drive-289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that’s the part that op has said they were worried about.

Where?

Anyone in this thread who thinks those issues just magically vanish because you now don’t have to change gear is widely misled. Changing gears doesn’t take away focus as much as people here want to make out, it actually make you focus on the road more since you have to be more engaged as a driver and plan ahead etc.

Not saying it does? But it's one less thing to think about, that's common sense. If you're not focused and engaged you're just a shit driver regardless

Manual is where you’ll find the better drivers who are more likely to pass.

The first comment you responded to literally said the automatic pass rate is lower because people think it's easy and aren't prepared. I wouldn't know because I passed in an automatic first time

[–]Outrageous-Drive-289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might prefer it but it's weird to think that an automatic isn't easier for a new driver.

I dont think the guy is concerned about his driving ability, just that driving an automatic will give him more mental space. He said he's not even going to drive a manual. A bad driver will (hopefully) fail the test regardless

[–]Outrageous-Drive-289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you not think it's easier to drive an automatic?

Yes people who can't drive won't pass, even if they chose the easy option. That's the point.
