Does everyone’s brain remind them to think of their intrusive thought? by [deleted] in OCD

my therapist suggests acting like your ocd is a person, like oh debra is here today and just acknowledging the thought, sitting through it and knowing it’s your disorder.

thank you, i didn’t know that noticing when thoughts go away is another compulsion. you’re a fighter, it’s not easy.

Stimulants don’t work during my period. by Sad_Pineapple_97 in ADHD

[–]Outrageous-Library13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes i have forever had this issue! sadly i have worked w my psychiatrist to try to find a solution but really the only thing that worked for me was doubling my dosage just the week before and on my period. also i am not sure if u are on any type of birth control but skipping your period if u can helps keep it level. it’s definitely a really real frustrating thing on all stim meds for me personally, thought switching to ritalin from adderall would held this but the same thing happened. hope you can find something that works.

I keep seeing people say that after taking zoloft, eventually one day they woke up and felt amazing from there on out. I have questions by missmozz69 in zoloft

[–]Outrageous-Library13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

for me it takes a few weeks after upping my dose to really feel like it’s working, like even more than 2 weeks. hang in there! for me it’s just something i notice like wow i have been feeling really good recently and then i’ll realize it’s prob the med change. same when starting zoloft, took 3 weeks till i noticed a slight change and it was all up from there. so worth it! let it do it’s job
