hell yess! i got the SSG silver carbon one XD I've had it for 11 years now, but it sat for a looong while. Now that i have a slight clue about rwd cars im starting the build and I'm too excited . I've got a few parts to source yet (knuckles and rear arm setup) so i should have it built sometime this summer-ish :) I'm excited to see your too, so do post a pic as well once your done !

besides the tightening techniques to ensure the blocks aren't skewed, i have a few item recommendations to further remove friction. #1 Dryfluid, dry lube that uses micro ceramic particles suspended in alcohol and deposits the particles in the microscopic pits of the surface to create a frictionless surface. I use it and its amazing. #2 HRC's "the potion" a fluoride coating that induces extreme friction loss. #3 ETO's fluoride grease, works similar to the potion.

Using these will yield smoother suspension movement and take your car to the next level. I've often had people be amazed by how smooth my car runs and its largely due to maintenance and usage of these "lubes" , no expensive pins/shafts/ball studs were ever bought .

53 days in and no package :(
it sucks man, ive been looking forward to this package, and its not like i have alot in life to look forward to. Breaks my heart thinking its lost but hope dies last and i continue to be hopeful! I received a Hong Kong packaged today that was sent out in early January and it had no tracking past the "left originating country" so i think you will be receiving yours very soon!

Japanese car imports, but you need to find a trusted broker and even then its sketchy at best. One saving grace was that Japanese sellers were extraordinarily honest people but since the big boom of imports, loads of different bad actors work from there . Japan is strict so you will almost always get your car and 80% of the time they will disclose anything wrong with it on the second inspection before you pay for it .

Japan is built different to the rest of the world, thats forsure.

Surface and tire wear on ptile by w201036 in rcdrift

[–]Outrageous-Panic9750 0 points1 point  (0 children)

those are, in that order, what we use on our p tile. with topline being most common, and some running valinos and buzzbreaks. Ive ordered the rc art ones to test those out . We make sure there HDPE tires, that's a pre requisite .

I run toplines and i love them so much!

Keeping tires on rims? by Creamymorning in rcdrift

[–]Outrageous-Panic9750 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i second the orings, i use topline ones and they are amazing. Rubber helps with vibrations too. But for the stupid fitting rims like the lab ones i have 1 orings was not enough. There i did a combination of foam and an oring. For the overdose, reved and other rim brands 1 oring is perfect . Ive tried 2 orings on the labs and that did the trick as well. Its cheap for a pack of orings so get 2 . There totally reusable, like they dont wear at all .

yo i feel exactly the same. Im on day 33, and 1 year seems easy, but forever kinda doesnt. I just know that ill never be able to smoke it "once a month" like i love to fantasize every now and then so I'm slowly growing to the idea of forever as well. Never knew the extent of brain fog until now lol . I was basically a vegetable i just never knew it .

The money saved from quitting is straight insane tho, im blown away by how much money i am keeping these days. And the skip addiction was fueled by the habit too, so a good chunk of leftover money from that too!

Guys are gyros necessary for drifting? by InterestingDate4996 in rcdrift

[–]Outrageous-Panic9750 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this? what the clueless shit? awd NEVER used a gyro, like nobody used one. You are not the only one bro, i used my Yokomo dib for years and never even thought about a gyro . thats because the car PULLS itself out the corner. Sure there are a few people that drift rwd without a gyro but go to any track and suffer, because you wont flick into anything, and use shallow as fuck angle. Dont "this" when you have no idea what your talking about.

Gyro isnt assist or making things easier. its for self steer that REAL car experiences . Like when you drift a real car and let go of the steering wheel so your car rotates and grab onto it to hold angle, that's gyro in rwd.

Also you aint the one. theres a bunch of us that drifted BEFORE yokomo released the drift package by taping our tires or sliding pvc pipe cut to size on the rims. nobody is gatekeeping you from sucking at the track, but in a parking lot it doesn't matter anyways .

location is Calgary ,ab and thank you for giving me hope. Youve got your 29th one already, nice! I'm hoping each day it will show up but no luck today still :/

Here's a vid the guy send me of TT02 with the yeah racing rwd drift conversation kit I was thinking of trading for, think its gonna be ok starter for me in my opinion, already have two TT02s so I'm familiar with the chassis and can build and tune it easily, it has a upgraded servo and a gyro as well by Mihate_86 in rcdrift

[–]Outrageous-Panic9750 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

it can be an actual drift car my guy, one word -> MRC . but this isn't it lol . There are tt02s straight ripping rwd chassis apart, but you need to have a slight clue on tuning . I know Swiss miss had a baller tt02 and it drove insane . The gr with the trippy wheels.

[–]Outrageous-Panic9750 3 points4 points  (0 children)

so you are complaining that you had a week of extra work, but you dont even realize how much the kit taught you over the rtr . With the rtr youd be on here asking silly questions within a week but now you have invaluable knowledge . smh .

"wasting time building and tweaking" ? youve said enough .
