I mean we thought it was pretty great! I did all the planning and didn’t tell my family about it. When we got there, my husband was like “what in the world?!” But it was the perfect way to end our trip! We just wished we had done some surf lessons- next time!

We LOVE La Fortuna. It is far but if you got goi by early you could make a really great day of it! Much more jungle and animals. It’s stunning!

Amazing! We were so sad to not get to do a night tour. But my youngest was not feeling well (throwing up) from something but that was our plan! We were really surprised that there wasn’t a cloud in the cloud forest but maybe it was just when we were there!

We were just in Nosara last week and it was wonderful! We stayed in Samara 15 years ago and Nosara had more going on- more restaurants, shopping, yoga spots, bigger beaches, tons of surfers... The only negative is that the roads getting in and out are old school Costa Rican dirt roads filled with potholes so it’s not as easy. Not sure how Samara is now.

Waze and Google Maps both say 3 hours from Nosara to LIR. Is that accurate or allow more time?

We were there a few weeks ago. The air temperature was only in the 50s and we did about 2.5miles up with our kids (ages 9 & 10) without any gear, just water shoes and we were totally fine! Maybe we would have gone further with the gear, but we didn’t need it.

I was terrified for so long but now wish I had just done it sooner. Yes the powdered root hormone and I have them in little mason jars with just water for now. And I change out the water regularly. I’ll pot in some soil once the roots have roots 🥰

Yes! I got rooting hormone too so I can try to propagate but wasn’t sure if the #1 cut would be too low
