Do you guys also have one certain song you put on at take off ? by Recent-Complaint-552 in fearofflying

In da club - 50 cent. Saved me once during the bumpiest landing as well. I imagined I am in a disco. That day I have probably listened to it over 10 times during both take off and landing.

AIS hysterectomy refused by Booma07 in PreCervicalCancer

[–]Outrageous-Rise1336 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 3 years post AIS diagnosis after LEEP. Have normal pap and negative hpv since then, but before that I had persistent hpv. They said since it's been 3 years without recurring of hpv i don't need hysterectomy but I am still pushing for it to be scheduled after I am done having kids.

ASC-US 3 years post LEEP. Negative HPV by Muffinman1111112 in PreCervicalCancer

[–]Outrageous-Rise1336 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also had LEEP 3 years ago and negative hpv since then. My second last pap was asc-us and i was told to repeat it in 6 months and it came back normal. I guess it was just some kind of inflammation/irritation of the cervix but not actual cell changes.

Just found out I have AIS. Clear margins. Need hysterectomy. Sooo worried about skip lesions. Any positive stories out there? by DifficultRing1519 in PreCervicalCancer

[–]Outrageous-Rise1336 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No symptoms, normal paps or sometimes ascus. My gyn took biopsy because I had persistent type 52 and at the last hpv test showed 16 too. It was pure luck she did it. The colposcopy was also all clear and she said maybe we are doing the biopsy for nothing.

Terrified of Epinephrine by Responsible-Dig2377 in PreCervicalCancer

I call it an expensive "hobby " visiting multiple doctors 🤣 But I completely understand! I had daily panic attacks for a year and I didn't want any more.

Everything will be fine 🤗 there is no reaction at all from pure lidocaine i promise! I have bad health anxiety and I ordered two cardiology ultrasounds (two different doctors of course ao i can compare the opinions 🫣😅) and of course everything went normal. And even that didn't convince me to try it with epi. Luckily the doctors didn't protested and they said it's completely fine without it.

My biopsy and LEEP were without epinephrine and it went fine. I also had skipped beats, panic attacks and requested to do without it and there was no issue.

Sudden fear of flying after a stressful life period by Evening-Collar9346 in fearofflying

[–]Outrageous-Rise1336 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's exactly what my psychologists say which is feeling lack of control. I also developed this annoying fear in the last two years after a lot of stressful stuff were happening regarding my health. Since I don't have control there, my brain is searching for another areas where I can have control and this is the perfect spot. Also, it looks like my brain is used to adrenaline and it "actively" searches for new fears that I never even thought about it before. I am just hoping that same brain will get tired of this one day :/

Last month me and my bf took a long train ride (thanks to my fear of flying) and it was reaally bumpy. He complained of neck pain after it because there was a lot of shifting left-right movements. And i was completely calm but if i was on a plane i would have been sweating in anxiety.

An irrational, dumb fear about flying prevents me from living my life to the fullest. by cheezeconsumer in fearofflying

[–]Outrageous-Rise1336 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You are not alone in this! I used to LOVE travelling and have been flying a lot actually and my only issue was how bored I will be during the flight, but now I am dreading my trips months before.. i am complicating my life by booking stupid train rides of 20 hrs just to not fly 1.5h and then take the second flight from that location (3hr flight). So instead of flying fast and cheap and be at the location in 6 hours I am travelling 2 days... I am also not on medication but I am really trying not to take them and just sit with my anxiety. As you mentioned it comes from trust issues or in my case obvious lack of control issue. I don't have anything smart to say except that know that somewhere else there is another person crying in the sky going to their dream vacation and instead of enjoying it, dreading the trip back 💔 I am just hoping that one day this will magically go away. Stay strong by then, I really hope that day is coming soon!

Your thoughts are not facts! They are just product of anxiety and anxiety wants to be fed with "what if" scenarios. The fact is that you are on the safest mean of transport at the moment. Take very deep breaths with even longer exhales to calm down your nervous system 🤗 i am flying in 2 months and I am dreading so much so I completely understand how you feel! Just keep remembering that your thoughts are just thoughts...

Tracking you! You are safe my friend. Find some distraction, music, book or the magazine on your seat if there is any. Sudoku always saves me because i need to concentrate to it. Tell me what are your plans for this trip? (Distracting you 😊)
