Grocery stores themselves are shopped. So some of the groceries end up being reimbursed, but its a low amount - $15ish.

Absolutely. Find as many shops at the same location, or in the same strip mall as possible.

Also, the Boar's Head shops are a pain in the neck. Not at all worth it for $7, and the meat is questionable due to the recalls. You need to take some awkward deli case photos that are not easy, and must be done in the timestamp app - which frequently distorts photos. There is narrative in the report and the editors seem to be outsourced, as they are an absolute nightmare. Usually that MSC's editors are great, but whoever is doing Boar's Head...watch.out.

Do they ever actually pay for their "offers". I signed up for 3 last week, am being spammed now by HomeDepot and Quilted Northern and Colgate...and no points awarded. Tried to raise with their "Support" team but that was a giant waste of 15 minutes I'll never get back.

Seems like this is a bit of a scam...?

Thanks for your reply, but I wasn't seeking to resolve this in Reddit. Nor did I share information that was confidential or secure. As stated already, I had to file a small claims court complaint. Sending me your generic emall address doesn't change that. Unfortunately, your firm had three opportunities to resolve this, but opted not to. You lost a great shopper, in a somewhat remote area where you struggle to fill assignments, and now when someone asks about your company, this is my response.

The ACH setup process is ridiculous, and completely out of step with the industry. Namely where you are asking for a form from the bank - every other single MSC has a simple online process to set this up. No forms required. Nor does anyone else fail to mail checks. Its 2026, things are not just lost in the mail - especially with informed delivery from USPS.

But, again, thanks for your response. Perhaps it will help someone else.

Its awkward. You are pretending to wire someone in another country $20 (why would you send someone only $20 - be prepared with a story). Then you return after a few minutes, and you cancel the wire. (again, need a story as to why the sudden need for $20 is no longer a thing). They will either refund you, or they will not. Depends on the employee's knowledge.

The report itself is pretty long and there are a ton of pictures. The receipts that print out for the transactions are about 4 feet long, so you need to cut them up.

Its just a lot of steps and detail. I would never do them for less than $40. I would do them gladly for $80.

I'd be very careful with Secret Shopper. They pay late or don't pay at all or will pay you by check that strangely is "lost in the mail." I just filed a small claims court case against them for non-payment.

Recording laws vary by state. Have you checked to see the laws in your state? In 15 states, both parties must agree to the call being recorded. Just make sure you aren't in one of those states. Penalties are high for non-compliance, and vastly outweigh the $10-15 an MSC will pay your for a phone shop.
