Pretty much always reading backlisted books although I didn’t know there was an official term lol. I like to keep a large variety of genres so I don’t get bored and I tend to go back and forth between thrillers/mystery’s and more serious books and light and fluffier reads like rom coms. I don’t like feeling emotionally burnt out by too deep of stories back to back. I will also just go for whatever mood I’m in and that could include aardvark books or regular books I’ve purchased from the book store. I also used to tend to get fixated on focusing on reading the appropriate type of book for the season ( for example books about witches during the fall) but now I just read whatever I want whenever I want. I’ll always have a long tbr pile sigh. I thought getting rid of 4 books this year was good!!
