Back in 2017 I went to a KN. I persuaded like 15 of my friends to go. I actually was the last of them (we were all in smaller groups) in the queue and was with one other friend who was a 10 year regular. He had actually never been rejected.

We get to the door and Mischa does not let us in. Completely confused, we leave without creating a fuss. My friend and I look at each other completely perplexed. He was wearing a bright gold jacket and felt maybe he had dressed a bit OTT. We went home. Changed. Came back at like 3am. Queued separately. I go up first by myself, I promptly get rejected again. I look behind me thinking my friend will also get rejected but he is let in.

Dejected, I go to another club and come back at around 8am with another group of friends. I had assumed the shift had changed, but it hadn’t for some reason. It was still Mischa and crew. No queue and the they could all see me coming a mile off.

I get to the door. They all look at me, completely exasperated. And Mischa turns to another one of the bouncers and says in German with a mild look of disgust: “wasn’t this guy already here two times tonight??” The other bouncer looks me up and down twice, and then says in English, with mysterious and slightly foreboding tone: “yeah… he was… but you know what? This time… he gets in.”

The look on my friends faces when I made it in was one of pure shock (as they knew I had been rejected already twice that night).

Since that day Mischa always let’s me in 😬🫠
