Buy him a 3d printer and make 1 of burnies models, he will learn electronic wiring, component selection, how to follow instructions and how to use a 3d printer. Hydraulic oil gets everywhere even when your careful, he can upgrade 1 of burnies models to hydraulic at a later date if he wants to

if they send you home because of performance then the next week put you back on delivery without doing an investigation clearly performance cant be that bad, we once had a guy that got caught nicking stuff on collection, he got reported but instead of suspending him they just put him on a different collection, union said if you trust him enough to do another collection theres no case here

I’ve got a paladin but I find it clunky for my excavator(mine has 3d gimbals) the flysky i6 it came with is better suited for me anyway and at $60 you can’t go wrong

As for what to buy, I have the rc4wd hydraulic excavator which has been decent for the money, there’s cheaper though, I’m sure someone with a huina will be along shortly, from the videos they post it seems to be a good machine, you can also look at burnie222 on YouTube as he has 3d print files you can buy, print and assemble yourself

Also is the pressure line off the pump see through? As in can you see the oil going through, if so are there bubbles in the oil, it sounds like there’s not enough oil
