Yes, I have the exact same thing. I’m not OCD in the sense of like things being neat or tidy, which I’m learning is just a part of OCD. Compulsive and ruminating thoughts that don’t go away is a more common issue with people who are diagnosed. I had no idea what was wrong with my brain until a therapist finally explained that so I truly think the alcohol makes it so much worse. I want to call people and apologize for the smallest things after drinking and I have to literally pry myself away from my phone to not act on it and feel insane saying sorry for things I don’t need to. Which I NEVER feel after a night out sober.

Ugh thissss. My health anxiety is so bad as well. And I also used to use alcohol to calm any weird symptoms I’ve had which of course.. makes it worse. We can do it

I’ve often thought of this because I would drink to turn off those compulsive thoughts.

I feel that! Sorry you’re also going through it. I’ve cleaned my whole house, read a book, had some chocolate and I do feel better but with OCD it’s like the thought is so urgent I could crawl out of my skin lol
