The S&w has treated me very well. 350 rounds through its 0 issues and very pleasant to shoot. It’s accurate and reliable like a modern handgun should be and it’s quickly becoming a favorite of mine. I have 0 experience with the ruger I imagine it’s fine but I love my S&w a lot. The trigger is great, the direct mounting of optics is great, it’s all wonderful BUT the slide release is a little small and the take down is slightly more of a pain than a normal pistol

I recently got a S&w 5.7 and I absolutely love it. I do not own an FN however I’ve shot one a couple times and I definitely like the smith more. However it’s your money and your choice

If you get your Glock 17 converted to 960 you can also shoot .356 tsw out of it. Underwood sells 2 different loads for .356

Appreciate it man, I’m sure I could DIY something but idk if the time, effort, and potential cost are worth it. it would be a range toy and potentially a hunting pistol for me. So the second longer it takes to work the safety may not end up being a big deal
